  • In your opinion will the genetic selection of embryos have a positive or a negative effect on society?

    And why?

It's where you can select an embryo with likable characteristics or one without diseases.

Our class watched the movie Gattaca, and I'm supposed to write why it's positive or negative.

I have good reasons for both sides, but I can't decide what to write on.

  • Interview for school?

In my personal finance we were given questions that we have to interview people with. And at the moment I have no one to interview. So if you wish you can answer either the General questions part or the Questions for married people part or even both.

In my opinion some of the questions seem kind of personal, so if you want, you can make up an answer.

AND THE PERSON ANSWERING HAS TO BE 25 OR OLDER.

    General questions:

1 Where did you go to school and what was it like?

2 What was your first job and how much did you make?

3 What did you buy with your money?

4 How much money did you need if you were going out with friends or having fun?

5 How did you learn about money?

6 Where did you shop for food and clothes?

7 What did you do if you wanted something you couldn't afford?

8 Did you have credit cards?

9 How are views about money different today than when you were young?

10 How are views about relationships different today than when you were young?

    Questions for married people:

1 How did you meet your spouse?

2 How long did you know each other before you got married?

3 Did you discuss money before you got married?

4 Did you have money fights?

5 Describe your first car, how much it cost, and how you paid for it.

6 Describe your first house, how much it cost, and how you paid for it.

7 What were the first few years of marriage like?

8 Did you worry about money? If so, what did you do about it?

9 What were your views on debt?

10 How did your children learn about money?

    Please and Thank you!

  • Distance time and speed question (check answer)?

Hair grows at an average speed of 3 x 10^-9ms^-1. How long will it take to grow a 10 cm strand?

    10cm = 0.01m (or 10^2)

does that mean that i have to multiply

    0.01 x 3 x 10^-9

    and the answer is 3 x 10^-11s

it that right? i don't think it is...

  • A small rocket motor is fired up vertically... How long did the trip take?

A small rocket motor is fired up a long vertical tube. It rises to a height of 100 m in 5.0 s and then falls back to the ground at an average speed of 10.0 ms^-1.

    my diagram (kinda)

    5s -100m ↓

    4s ↑ 80m ↓

    3s ↑ 60m ↓ ?

    2s ↑ 40m ↓

    1s ↑ 20m ↓

-How long did the trip take? ~10 seconds? idk i'm confused.~

-What is the NET average speed? ~what does NET mean?!?!?!~

and what would the right side of the diagram look like when the motor is falling?

  • How far does light travel in one year? (check my answer)?

    of the speed of light = 3.00 x 10^8 ms^-1

does that mean that i have to find out how many seconds are in a year?

    365x24x60x60 = 31536000

    and then multiply

    3.00 x 10^8 x 31536000

    my calculator says 9.4608 x 10^15

so would that be the answer?

  • Who developed Athenian democracy to its greatest height(according to info)?

    According to this information.

621 B.C. Law code was attributed to Draco.

594 B.C. Solon abolished enslavement for debt, defined political rights in terms or wealth rather than birth, established court of appeals.

546-527 B.C. Peisistratus, tyrant who ruled with support of the lower classes, may have divided nobles' estates among poor farmers.

508 B.C. Cleisthenes broke up the power of the aristocrats and created the Council of Five Hundred, chosen from local government units, with wide power.

461 - 429 B.C. Pericles opened offices to all male citizens and provided that office holders be paid.

Who developed Athenian democracy to its greatest heights?

You could also say why, but you don't have to.

    Thanks you!

This is a quote. IDK who it's by.

My question is how do you feel about it? Do you agree or disagree? What does it mean to you?

Just respond to the quote in any way.
