  • Hey! I'd like to know if the ToS Protects the buyer from literally everything! We donated for the server, not for them.?

Me, and around fifty other donators to this Server for a Video Game have fallen to a fraud. They have done the following: they were owning a server for Garry's Mod, and they have requested donators by telling everyone that they have paid more than $500 for scripts and such. I donated 100 Pounds.

By donating you agree that it is a donation to our Servers.

You also agree to the following:

-WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY OF YOUR PERKS, RANKS, OR ITEMS REWARDED ANYTIME.

    -NO REFUNDS.

    -NO CHARGE BACKS.

-YOU WILL NOT GET REWARDS, however, you may be entitled to certain perks that will be provided by the founders should they want to give it.

-All money that is donated to the server is placed with the founder James which will be spent on the server but a portion goes to the developers and the owner for their personal use.

    To Clarify:

    AUTHORIZATION:

By agreeing you are stating that,

    1. You have parental permission.

    2. You have the authorization to use the debit/credit card and/or PayPal account to donate.

    3. You will not chargeback, dispute, reverse any payments.

    4. You will not abuse your gifts and/or ranks.

    5. We reserve the right to ban any account without notice for any reason.

    6. You Agree If You Do Charge back/refund you will be Banned from Our Community - No Questions Needed. You also accept you will not/cannot Charge Back.

    7. You understand there are no refunds and you can't issue a refund.

    8. You agree with everything listed above.

By Donating You Agree To These Terms.

  • I have a problem with my PC?

Whenever I click on a certain monitor (because I've got 3), the primary monitor just "freezes".

Basically, what happens is that the monitor works just by using a keyboard, but when I open up any window it starts to work again. Though it does not work for Steam, and this is why it is extremely annoying.

If anyone can provide me any help, that would be greatly appreciated.

  • May I keep doing Companions misc quests if I refuse to become a werewolf in Skyrim?

Say i get to the stage in the Compaions MainQuest when everyone in the guild directs me towards talking to Skjor. I guess the radiant misc quests will be disabled until I talk to him and get the Silver Hands quest started. But if I go into the Underforge and refuse to become a werewolf (or delay it), will Farkas and Vilkas still be able to give me misc quests?

  • Refresh rate drops when in-game?

I've been having this particular problem for some time. The refresh rate of my display drops every time I run a PC game. It displays a lot of interlacing. I can't tell why this is happening. Well, it might be the cable. Any idea?

  • English tense question?

Please help me choose the proper tense in these sentences (present perfect, simple past or past perfect.)

"Yesterday I [give] you a book that I [buy] from a store nearby.[Have/Did] you [give/given] it to my friend as I [tell] you to do?"

"Yes, I [do] that.He [is] really happy that you [buy] that book for him."

"Hey, Nancy! Where have you been?"

"I've been to that shop.Look, I [buy] some vegetables."

"It looks like you [forget] to buy sausage and cheese.Let's go back together and buy some."

"If you [tell] me to buy those before going to the shop, we wouldn't be going back there."

    My answers:

"Yesterday I [gave] you a book that I [bought] from a store nearby.[Did] you [give] it to my friend as I [told] you to do?"

"Yes, I [did] that.He [was] really happy that you [bought] that book for him."

"Hey, Nancy! Where have you been?"

"I've been to that shop.Look, I [have bought] some vegetables."

"It looks like you [forgot] to buy sausage and cheese.Let's go back together and buy some."

"If you [had told] me to buy those before going to the shop, we wouldn't be going back there."

I'm not sure whether to use 'forgot' or 'have forgotten' there. Please check my answers and tell me if I made any mistake.

  • English grammar question, help?

Can we use the present perfect tense after using 'since' in a sentence? (a complex one)

    For example:

I'd like to see them again since I haven't been able to talk to them lately./

I'd like to see them again since I wasn't able to talk to them lately.

Which one of these sentences is correct or more natural? Is there any need to add 'lately' at the end?, Is it ok to use it with simple past?

  • Grammar question, is my tense usage proper?

I'm sorry but I won't be able to arrive on time.I -have missed- the bus.(Is 'have missed' ok? Would simple past we better?)

Today we will first discuss this subject because we -decided- so.(have decided would be better?)

"Please tell me more about what I -have asked- you." (asked or have asked?)

"I'm sorry, I do no know anything else"

"Why -didn't you learn- your lesson for today"? (should it be 'why haven't you...')

Hey, Nancy.-Have you written- your homework?I need to check an exercise.(Did you write or Have you written?)

I -have written- everything you -have requested- me to write. Can I go to bed now?

Please tell me which tense is more appropriate in these cases.

  • Favorite Game Developer?

I for one love Valve for creating Half Life (the best game series ever),for keeping PC gaming alive through Steam and for being part of the gaming community.

Bioware, Raven Software and Crystal Dynamics are great too imo.

  • English Grammar question?

I seem to confuse present perfect and simple past is certain situations, like:

'I lost my password but they recovered it for me.I've been able to use my account since then.'

Is it ok to say 'They have recovered it' instead of saying "They recovered it' if you want to emphasize the result of the action?

Also, can you use 'for' with simple past? Eg: 'I waited for your reply for 2 weeks'

    Thanks!
