  • Question, golf ruling for embedded ball?

While searching for my tee shot in the green side bunker, I inadvertently stepped on my ball as it was completely covered. My opponent observed me raking the spot where I located my ball. I marked it and notified him that I would have to remove it in order to identify it as being mine. He agreed to that and it was identified as mine. I told my opponent that I had discovered it's location by inadvertently stepping on it and that I would like to replace it as close to the level as it was previous to my stepping on it. He disagreed stating that he couldn't verify that I stepped on it and I must replace it in it's found condition...covered. What is the ruling?

  • What rule is used for this situation?

After hitting they're shots from tee to green. Player A and Player B discovered they're balls came to rest three inches off the green and; they were touching one another. Both balls were held slightly off the ground by the stiff nature of the bermuda grass. Player B is closer to the hole. So player A lifted his ball to afford player B a shot. While attempting to replace his ball, Player A could not reintroduce it to it's Original lie. Whats the ruling?

  • Then What happened....ruling?

Match play earlier this month. Wet and slippery conditions exsisted. I hooked my tee shot on the fourteenth hole with the match all square In disgust I slammed my driver to the surface. After loosing sight of the ball going into the trees. I opted to hit a provisional. I re-gripped strong and swung hard the driver went flying down the fairway with the ball in the lead. I picked up the driver and was using it as walking stick. While searching for my original tee shot, I was using my driver as a aid on the slippery terrain. Upon finding the original ball I finished the hole and proceeded to the next tee, where my bag-man discovered the my driver head had fractured at the hosel. So then what happened....ruling?
