  • Should I buy Dead Island or Dark Souls?

I'm a 360 owner and a graduate student at university with a tight time schedule and enough extra cash for one game until November. I've narrowed down my desires a bit to either Dead Island, which is already out, or Dark Souls, coming on the 4th of September. I'm big into RPGs but sometimes the amount of time that they require can be taxing being a student. I hear Dead Island is fun and maybe it would be a solid stress reliever but I also hear that it's a bit buggy and might have been better. In contrast, Dark Souls seems to be a game that will take eons to finish (and I probably couldn't finish before Skyrim ;) ) but it's also the successor to that Masterpiece Demon Souls (which I always wanted to play but never did). Further, as an RPG fan, I long for a really difficult game. But can Dark Souls be played in short bursts? What's the save-game structure like? Also, the imagery and ideas behind Dark Souls seem up my alley, but maybe the difficulty would sap me too much? I'm not sure...

So what say you, shall I opt for the possibly-more-fun but also more shallow Zombie bashing RPG or should I wait two weeks and snag a potential masterpiece in Dark Souls that could possibly demand a lot of effort. I'm stuck!

Each has their possible pros and cons, so any info that you think might help an indecisive student-gamer would be a godsend :)

    Thank you!

  • What is the difference between a conceptual problem and a logistical problem?

During my philosophy exam, I have been asked to: "Identify and explain what you think the most significant conceptual (not logistical) problem facing time travel is, and explore at least one solution to it". As a result, i'm wondering what the basic difference is between the two terms 'conceptual' and 'logistical' so that I may respond to the question correctly.

    Thanks all!

  • Will you be getting Alien Vs. Predator for console or PC?

Will you be getting Alien Vs. Predator for a console or PC? I'm curious to know which will be the most popular, or which others think we be the superior platform. Try to avoid being a fanboy if you can, and let me know why you choose what you did!

I'm personally leaning 360, over PC. Assuming mine can run it well, there are plus points for each medium. Let me know what you'll be doing and why!
