A question about: "Those who think they can and those who think they can't, are both right"?
I think it is a fantastic saying, however should it work with everything? Lets say for instance I thought I was physically strong, I had a muscular physique. I actually did after 2 months of starting to "bodybuild" and I couldn't have been further from the truth. To myself, I believed I was strong and looked big, therefore in my own mind I was indeed right. However others would have no doubt judged me as being far from a bodybuilder. So does the quote refer to my own perception of myself, ie I think I look strong therefore I will act like I'm strong even though in reality I am not? Does this mean reality is the world that lives inside of my head, internal thoughts and not the external world we view?
6 AnswersPhilosophy8 years agoWhat is the fastest way to get a 6 pack?
Basically I seem to have really weedy abs, kinda ruins my whole physique. It's not that there's fat over them. I find it really hard to put fat on (could be gifted, could be a hindrance) so I'm pretty much shredded. Only I don't have much of a six pack. I've never really isolated the abs before, I figure that if I blast them in the best way possible for a couple of months I should be looking good. But what's the most effective way to get a six pack? I don't want to over-train.
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoSpots on the shoulders, how do I get rid of them?
Hi guys, I've had spots on my shoulders and back for a fair amount of time, they're seemingly not shifting. I used to have bad acne on my face but after having short hair and washing often they disappeared. However my shoulder/arm spots still remain. How do I get rid of them?
My diet is pretty poor but that's only because I'm increasing my calorie intake. I was quite a thin dude, I guess I'm "bulking" so my diet can't really change. Any help?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions8 years agoWhat tablet would best suit my needs?
I'm a graphics designer currently studying at university. I'm running my own business and I've figured that using a tablet to display concepts to clients would be both beneficial and look impressive. I was very tempted with the Sony Xperia Z tablet, however its low pixel density count made me shy away somewhat from it. I have a sony xperia s smartphone so I figured they would work well together. I've been looking into the Nexus 10 also, this looks strong with a very impressive display, doesn't looks quite as good however (if that's anything to go by) and I probably prefer Sony products. I'm not including apple iPad's in my search because I'm anti-apple. Ideally I need a 10" tablet with fast specs, a good strong, vivid, clear screen, a fairly decent battery life and all for under £400.
Am I missing any from my research?
5 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoHow can I get decent audio through my PS3?
Basically I'm running the PS3 through a HDMI cable to my computer screen. Since it's a computer screen I don't have an aux out port, only aux in which is useless. This means I'm running the audio through my built-in computer screen speakers which sounds terrible. I was considering buying a headset such as a set of px21's, I was under the assumption that you can run it through USB alone, but you need AUX also?
How can I do this without buying a TV screen?
1 AnswerPlayStation8 years agoWill skipping help improve my leg strength?
I've always had the problem of skinny bones. I've improved my upper body physique and I'm getting larger. However no matter what I do, I can't seem to put any mass on my lower leg. I can build calf muscle, quads but my ankles remain skinny. I know that it's only bones and tendons down there but is there any way of making them look thicker? It's frustrating since I rarely wear shorts because of it. I heard skipping builds ankle strength? Any suggestions?
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoDo our breathing patterns effect our state of mind?
I used to breathe very shallow, like I'd take little tiny breaths inhaling probably around 15% of my lung capacity. I always found that my heart would beat crazy in social situations. Will breathing more deeply result in a more confident and calm state of mind?
5 AnswersPsychology8 years agoIs it worth buying a ps3 purely for gta5?
Normally I just wait for a pc port for gta since i'm a pc gamer. However gta5 looks incredible I want to get my hands on a copy, and i've heard they're not releasing it on pc in the future. Only thing is, I dont have a console to play it on. So the question is, should I spend £150 in total for just one game?
5 AnswersPlayStation8 years agoDo you think 'psychics' are simply masters of reading body language?
There is no conclusive scientific proof of spirits and the afterlife. My opinion of psychics is that they pick up on small things such as movement patterns, tone of voice, stance etc and make educated assumptions about their thoughts. If you think about it, the people that turn up to the show and already believe it exists will show it through their body language, thus they will be chosen and will already have someone in mind that they wish to speak to, which in turn will make predicting their thoughts fairly straightforward. Whereas those who do not believe in the afterlife will display a very closed stance which the 'psychic' would easily pick up on, meaning they won't get picked to question. Or do you people actually think it's all true?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoGirls : can confidence mask aesthetics?
I was thinking what makes a player, those guys that go straight up to someone and get their number in seconds. If a semi - attractive guy walked up to you, maintained eye contact and asked for your number, would you find him more attractive than a good looking guy who was shy about the skin he was in? Is the phrase 'he who dares wins' true in these situations?

I'm hoping that there's still a month before stocks run out. I need an educated guess purely because I don't have the money for one right now...
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games8 years agoIs it wise to start driving in my position?
I'm currently at university living with my parents paying them rent. September will be the start of my last year at uni. Basically I'm fustrated with having to walk everywhere and catching the bus with let's be honest, people who don't shower. I could ask my parents for lists but I hate relying on other people. I know how much it costs to drive, to get insured etc and I have a fair bit of money that I've accumulated from my business and my part time job. Is there anyone who has been in my position and has any advice?
1 AnswerInsurance & Registration8 years agoPceu blocking my pc: legit or a virus?
I was just watching something on YouTube then something about pceu police came up saying i've done illegal activity and I needed to pay a fine of £100 and my pc is blocked. I'm pretty sure it's a virus because I don't really download anything. So my question is, is it a common virus and am I going to jail?
2 AnswersSecurity8 years agoIs it better to stay at home with a virus/cold or soldier on at work?
Basically I believe I have the summer cold, I never really have days off work. Is it best to just soldier through or stay housebound and contact work? I only ask because I'm on a temporary contract whichwill be rreviewed next month.

5 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoDoes sunbathing get rid of spots?
U have a slightly spotty back, kinda noticeable with my top off which is annoying especially since I've been working out all year! I've heard off someone that sunbathing gets rid of spots, is this true and if not, how else can I get rid of them in a few days time?
2 AnswersSkin Conditions8 years agoCan you run 2 part time jobs?
Basically I've just gained a part time job at Argos. My contract until August is just 7 hours per week. With overtime I can probably get around 10-12 hours per week. This isn't really enough. I am completely free to do any more work. My boss said at the start of training that I am able to get a second job but I must inform him first. Should I have a chat with him and discuss my issue to see if I can gain more hours working at Argos or if I'm okay gaining another job?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoNot sure on tomorrow's working hours- should I phone up to be sure?
Basically today I was half an hour late to work because I thought I was in at half 12. I was actually looking on next week's sheet, and should have been in at 12:00. My boss said it was fine, just to make sure it doesn't happen again and mistakes happen. I read that my hours tomorrow were 16:00-19:30. That's what I gathered anyway. But after today I'm so full of doubt I feel like I want to be sure. Is it foolish of me to phone up tomorrow morning as soon as they open making sure that my hours are what they think they are, or pop in early morning and take a photo of the hours board for future reference, or trust my judgement and go in at 4:00?

Or is that not the reason we blink, to give moisture to the eyes?
