  • Do you think the religious have trouble understanding vast timeframes?

It seems to me, many religious ideas concerning evolution and creation are due to the inability to comprehend the vast amount of time in play. Perhaps they believe in the young Earth because they can't fathom a million years. And their ideas about evolution clearly show the inability to understand gradual changes over long long timespans. They tend to think of a chimp giving birth to a human and reject it (as we all would) because they can't grasp the shear vastness of millions of years and how small changes would naturally accumulate.

  • Can a church really be started?

Is it possible to start a church of FSM (Flying Spaghetti Monster - to lay people)? If we get a good group together (we may need to convert the IPUers out thier) is their anything preventing it? Couldn't we even elect a pope.... we could gather all the cardnoodles and decide on a Pastiff.

Anyone willing to start something along this line..... think of the tax incentives.

  • If Jesus died to save all people, but not all people are saved.... did he fail?

If he failed then could he still be God? And if he didn't fail then doesn't that mean everyone is saved?
