Claiming compensation?
I have just received a call from a company saying that I can claim compensation from an accident I received in February.
What happened was I was involved in a car accident my husband was driving and it was his fault,we let our insurers take care of it and haven't thought any more about it.
But this company (claims direct I think) insists that I can claim compensation without it affecting my husband insurance.
They asked me a series of questions and then said yes your entitled to compensation, now they want me to have a verbal medical and talk to their injury lawyers.
Is this usual practice or is it some sort of scam?
The man on the phone was very persistent almost putting words in to my mouth about the affect the accident had on me

8 AnswersInsurance & Registration7 years agoWhen I marzipan my Christmas cake?
This is my first attempt at making a Christmas cake, when I have marzipanned it (I believe I should leave it in the open air for about a week to dry out before icing)is it ok to put a clean tea towel over it or a cake dome? I don't quite like the idea of having it on my kitchen side with germs floating over it

2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts8 years agoHeart shaped cake tins?
My husband has brought me what he thought were heart shaped cake tins from a charity shop.
There are 3 of them (large, medium and small)but they have no bases!
My question is are they actually cake tins to pour cake mixture in or are they supposed to used for something else?
They are completely smooth on the inside so if they did have a spring form base I can't see how they would have stayed in!
If it is they should have bases but don't,is it possible that I could line the tins with grease proof paper or tin foil and use them that way?
