Does anyone know if NYSE follow US GAAP or international GAAP? What about the Tokyo Stcok Exchange?

My father's stomach cancer has metastasized into his brain, and all over his abdomen. Doctor had sent him home telling us there is not much they can do at this point, and they will admit him to hospice care when he started to feel pain. He feels some pain, but not bad now. How do we know to admit him to the hospice care? What should we watch out for?

If the Allowance for doubtful accounts has a balance at the end of the year, do they get added onto the new estimate for the next year?

If the balance was $5000 in the beginning of the year, and the total write offs were $4000. And the new estimate of the Allowance for doubtful account was $$3500 (3% of the total A/R) during the year. Is the new balance, $1000 or $4500?

For the Retained Earnings, you add net income and subtract dividends from retained earnings, but what do you add and subtract from what in the Owner's Equity?

Even from teenage attendants? Is it wrong to expect for them to say "thank you", when you pay? What do you think?

It is inevidable that they would get in accident soon or later and hurt others who are not involved, I just don't get it. It's like ego trip that their car is faster than other's car? Or are they competing to kill someone else?

they took out his entire stomach, part of esophogus and part of large intestine. He came home, and got relatively better although he is very thin. Then, he started to drink very heavily. How does alcohol go through his body without his stomach? He gets very drunk, that means alcohol is getting into his blood stream. Also, his cancer indicator is very high again, but they can't find any tumor, how long does he have? The doctor does not tell us exactly how long his has.

I paid his tuition and books for the semester, he went to the first class and got scared, and dropped. Now I feel bad that I tried to help him. Stupid me.

I know couple of people who did this (purchase and flip) and ended up losing about $20k. They are feeling real bad, because many people warned them.

We have 3 rental properties and 13-unit apartment complex in southern California. They all produce income. We are comtemplating if we should pay-off the apartment mortgage or other individual rental property loans.

I have nothing in common with her, and I've been avoiding her. I know my husband doesn't like the situation, I've tried to be with her, but she makes no sense. It is very painful for us to be in the same room.

Some women want to stay home and be taken care of by her husband, but they think they are entitled to equality. This makes no sense to me, and I am female.
