  • For those of you who use Revlon ColorStay foundation?

If you wouldn't mind giving me the pros and cons of this product, I would really appreciate it!

Also, if you wouldn't mind answering a few questions:

    1) Which formula do you use (combination/oily skin or normal/dry skin)?

    2) Do you need to use powder afterwards?

    3) Do blushes, bronzers, and highlighters (liquid or powder forms) blend well on top of this?

    Thank you!!!

  • I never ask for homework help on here but I really don't know how to answer this?

This is the question, straight from the textbook:

Consider an enzyme that is subject to allosteric regulation. If a competitive inhibitor (not an allosteric inhibitor) is added to a solution containing such an enzyme, the ratio of enzyme molecules in the active form to those in the inactive form increases. Explain this observation.

Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • Do you believe in "respecting your elders" even if they're being unreasonable?

I personally don't believe in the whole "Yes, maam, no maam" mentality. I think it's archaic and doesn't foster a real relationship. I don't believe in sucking up to people just because they are older than I am, even if they are relatives or married to one of my parents. What are your thoughts on this?

  • Is this wrong? I'm very torn about this?

If you knew that someone you cared about was hurting themselves with the food they eat and were 99.9999% sure that they'd see an improvement in their increasingly declining health if they made dietary changes, would you suggest it to them? Would you suggest it even if they were set in their ways, even if by doing this, you risked their anger towards you?

I'm talking about introducing a vegan diet to someone who eats a lot of dairy and meat and is incredibly ill. I don't know if it's right to just allow them to get sicker and sicker when there's a good chance that dietary changes could help them, even moderately. What do you think?

  • A hypothetical question for everyone?

In general, is it possible to be respected by someone you're dating if you had sex with them on the first date?

    Thoughts? Opinions?

  • The 80/10/10 raw vegan diet?

I'm becoming increasingly intrigued by this whole way of eating and would really like to know more about it. I haven't read the book yet, although I plan to. I've watched countless videos and read countless blog conversations but I'm still skeptical. It's hard for me to believe that a person can eat this way without any supplementation whatsoever and not develop any nutritional deficiencies. I'd really appreciate some feedback from people who have firsthand experience with this way of eating. So what's the real deal?? Thank you and happy new year

  • Doesn't this piss you off!?

I was doing some online research the other day to prepare for an informative speech I was giving on transsexualism. It's quite distressing that every time you google anything with the word "transsexual" or "transgendered" in it, you're bombarded with porn images. It just seems as though transsexuals are either hated on or sexually exploited instead of being treated as human beings.

  • What is your opinion?

Do you think transsexualism is too strange a topic to cover during an informative speech for a college-level oral communications class?

  • Do you think we're all a little bit prejudiced?

I personally think it's difficult not to be and I'm willing to admit that. We have all had good and bad experiences with people of different races and cultures, and have been shaped by them to an extent. Please don't get defensive about this. I'm not accusing anyone of being close-minded, racist, and bigoted. I'm just asking a simple question and would appreciate your thoughts. The fact of the matter is we do make involuntary assumptions about people within a few seconds of meeting them, and part of that first impression is driven by how people look. What do you think? Can you think of a time when your first impression of someone turned out to be wrong (or right)? Did that have any impact on how you perceived other people in the future?

  • What are your thoughts on internet dating sites?

Do you think they are a good option? Are there too many creepers? Other thoughts?

  • A question for atheists (from another atheist)?

Some of the back story: last night, I was having a deep conversation with a group of friends about the existence of God and what happens after we die. One of my friends said he was an agnostic. I told him that he was also an atheist because he couldn't say he believed in God. His response, in a nutshell, was, "Well, I can't say that I believe or disbelieve. While it's logical to not believe in God, logic is an invention of humans, which we have designed to make sense and thus, I'm not sure if it's correct. Based on that, I can't say I believe or disbelieve." This totally threw me off. I told him that by that reasoning, he was operating with a mentality of not believing or disbelieving in anything. He agreed and was perfectly content with this. I feel like there is a flaw somewhere in his argument but I'm not sure what. Is it possible to simultaneously believe in AND disbelieve in something, i.e. God? I personally don't think so but I would appreciate if someone could articulate why my friend's argument is fallacious, if it actually is. Thank you!

  • What would you do....?

If you knew who you were and what you wanted to do in life but also knew that it was an extremely hard road and you probably couldn't make money at it?

  • I had the most awkward "date" of my life last night?

In a nutshell, this girl in my college LGBT support group Facebook messages me to tell me that I'm really cute and she would like to hang out sometime. We had never talked at all in group, so I was a little surprised by this, but flattered and interested in getting to know her better. I was worried because she's extremely shy, but I figured she would open up as the night went on. Well, I suppose she DID open up about herself, but I literally had to ask ALL the questions. At every pause in the conversation, I had to pull every random question possible out of my head and come up with things to share about myself to keep the conversation going because she wasn't asking me anything. I was already tired last night from the long week of classes, but I was exhausted by the end of the night from having to carry the whole conversation. When I asked her if she was bored by me, she said, "No, people always think that but I assure you, I'm not." Ughhh, it was so awkward and I don't really understand why she wanted to hang out since she didn't act like she cared all that much about what I was saying. I don't know, what do you make of all this? I just feel so weird about it.
