hi, so i'm currently in high school and i'm interested in applying for a summer job at american apparel. i have a few questions though, so if anyone can help me with any of them, it would be much appreciated!!

1) i know that i have the option of applying online or through an open call. which one is preferable for me to do? or should i do both?

2) if i go to an open call, what should i bring? the website says to bring a resume and references, but other people have told me that they want you to bring photos of your outfits as well. should i bring those, and is there anything additional i should bring?

3) when would be the best time to apply if i want to begin working in early july? i missed an open call they had in mid march in my area, because i thought that would be too early to apply. i don't know when they're going to have the next one (also ties into my first question - if i don't know when the next open call is at this point, should i just apply online or wait it out for a bit?)

4) what type of questions do they ask at the open call interviews?

i recently got a diana f+ with a 35mm back, and i just wanted help with loading the film and actually taking pictures.

the thing is, i got kind of lost at 1:40. if anyone can explain to me step by step how to set up the camera for taking pictures, it would be much appreciated!!!

basic questions:

1) how much do i unwind the knob at the top when i begin

2) what does the n and b mean on the camera lens

3) how do i take a picture, and after taking a picture what should i do with the camera to prepare for another picture?

recently i got an old polaroid sun 600 camera from my grandfather. i've tried taking pictures with the camera, but each time the polaroid film comes out a mustard yellow, and a picture does not develop at all. does this mean its expired, like past the point of repair? is there anything i can do to the film to get an image to appear?

i know this sounds like a stupid question but im just curious for next summer. i'd want to apply to places to work for in the summer, but if i do get hired would that mean i'd also have to work during the school year? or can i just work during the summer months over several years?

i want to major in photography, and i know that the tisch school offers a major in photography and imaging. however, i'm not really into any other kind of performing arts, which tisch really stresses. so i'm wondering, if i want to mainly pursue photography, but also would like to take classes in fine/studio arts, which of the nyu schools would be the best for doing that? and i do realize there are other colleges where i can do this, but i am asking for nyu in particular.

i have an old kodak duaflex ii that i want to try out. i want to know how i can load film into it so that i can take pictures. i've looked up some manuels online but the directions were kind of confusing. i just really need someone to explain to me in simple terms how i can load in the film.

also, the camera says that i need kodak 600 film. at the moment i only have kodak 200 - will this still work?

this musician that i really like is coming to a nearby bookstore for a book signing. i really want to meet him and maybe get a picture with him, but i don't own a copy of his book. would i be allowed to meet him without a book?

i plan on going to a book signing in a few weeks, and i just had a couple of questions that ((hopefully)) you guys can answer about it

.how long do the signings usually last? i won't be able to get to the book store until like an hour after the event begins. will this be too late?

.can you go to the signings to just meet the author, or do they only let you meet him if you have a book for him to sign?

like how you can privately follow people on formspring, when you follow someone on ask.fm is it anonymous or can they see that you are following them?

at the moment, my dad and i share an itunes account. all of our music is on the same account, and mine is just in its own category. i really just want to have my own itunes account, because im tired of having my dads music on my devices, and im sure my dad is tired of having my music on his. i was wondering if there was anyway i could make a separate itunes account with just my music, while still using his credit card information?

also, would i be able to transfer all my music from my current itunes account to this new one? i have like 200+ songs.

In the Spanish language, as learners and speakers most likely know, every single noun is assigned a gender. Mesa, which ends in a, is a feminine noun, while libro, which ends in o, is a masculine noun. I was wondering why it is like this? Many of these words are associated with a gender far different from what would be expected (i.e vestido, which means dress, is masculine). So what is the reason behind these gender assignments.

Also, credible sources in the answers are much appreciated.

I know that the accepted pronunciation of "ll" in the Spanish language is y. For example, me llamo would be pronounced me yamo. However, there are many Spanish-speaking regions that would pronounce it as me jamo, with a j sound. I was wondering why this is so? What has happened in those areas that would make its inhabitants pronounce it differently than common Spanish?

Also, if you could include some sort of source as to where you got this information from, that would be just dandy.

okay, so someone from my school found my tumblr and started following me. obviously i dont want them to see my blog and all the things i reblog. so i blocked them, but tumblr just says that it will have ME unfollow them (i was never following them in the first place btw) and that I wont be able to see THEIR posts. but the thing is, I don't want them to see my posts. so if i block them, will that prevent me from showing up on their dashboard?
