How creepy would a singing gravestone be?
I love to sing. I just thought, what if I got a headstone that could playback a sample of my voice singing the "Ah" part of the little mermaid (the part she sings right as she gets her voice back from Ursela). How creepy would that be?
5 AnswersOther - Society & Culture7 years agoThe Nissan Altima 2014: red or white?
Red: Pros: It's a less common color which is not offered on most base model cars, which to me makes it more unique. I like the look, it's fun, attractive and sporty. Cons: Red will absorb more heat. Red paint will not wear well over time. Red paint attracts cops.
White: Pros: It's classy, and attractive. It's the safe option. White will keep the car cool in the heat, and the paint will still look good in 15 years. Cons: More difficult to keep clean. It's a bit boring.
I want to buy a 2014 Nissan Altima in red or white (Black really isn't an option in the Florida heat, and my last two cars were silver, so I'm really sick of silver). I can't decide which color I like better. I think I favor red, but I want your opinion. Please tell me what you would choose based purely on looks, and also what you would choose when weighing in the pros and cons. I will keep this car until it breathes it's last breath, please help me decide!
4 AnswersNissan7 years agoHow can I raise the PH of my distilled water?
Can someone please tell me how to raise the PH of distilled water permenantly without a chemistry lesson? I just want to drink distilled water that is not full of salt and has a PH over 7. I have already tried concentrace remineralizing drops, they didn't raise the ph.
Don't tell me that distilled water is neutral either, I have tested it and it's very acidic. When it comes out of the distiller drop by drop, I don't think there really is a way to keep it out of contact with the air.
1 AnswerChemistry8 years agoIs my estimation correct? Should we all really just give up and live on the government?
$50,000 – family of 4 income / / $23,550– family of 4 income at poverty level
$37,500 after taxes (25%) / / $23,550 after taxes (taxes paid will be refunded)
$31,500 after healthcare ($4,000) / / $23,550 after healthcare (free)
$30,500 no foodstamp assistance / / $30,654 with foodstamp assistance (+$7,104)
I am becoming increasingly resentful of people who receive government assistance. The people I know who do receive assistance seem to make more money than I do. They have computers, big screen TVs, XBox, Wii, smartphones, manicures, their kids get free breakfast and lunch at school, they go on cruises etc...meanwhile my wife and I work full time, qualify for no government assistance, our kids receive no free lunch, we can't afford vacation...it just seems like their is no incentive to work.
In addition to the obvious benefits, poor people receive all kinds of other benefits like Lenscrafters has a program that offers them free eyeglasses, there are programs where they get cellphones, and all sorts of special interest groups. My one friend was talking about applying for free fish from the government because she is "1/18 Cherokee Indian"...why doesn't she have her other 17/18th pay restitution to herself! I made this chart to estimate if I could figure out why they seem to have more money than me and it didn't take long before I could see that this might really be true. Are my estimations correct? Should we really all just give up and live off the government (figuratively speaking)?
5 AnswersGovernment8 years agoWho sells dog crates like the ones used in pet stores?
We recently inherited a 13-year old dog whose owner died. The owner was elderly and spent every minute with the dog and and took the dog out to pee like 10 times per day. We both work, and have to leave the dog at home while we work.
Although I come home for my lunch break every day to let the dog out, she pees and poops everywhere. She pees and poops in her crate and rolls in it. She pees and poops all over the house and carpets if we let her free. She pees and poops in the hallway and rolls in it if we gate her in the large hallway.
We can't leave her outside in our yard because she barks constantly annoying neighbors. Although we take her on a long walk EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, and play with her and show her love, she is still doing this. The vet says there is nothing medically wrong with her. We have tried everything.
I feel like the only option is to get one of those crates they use in pet stores and kennels (the ones with the cage-floor) so at least she won't roll in her poop every single day while we are at work. I have searched online and cannot find any. Does anyone know where I can find one of these?

If I receive an EIC credit, does it subtract money from next year's tax return? Am I borrowing from a future year, or does it not affect next year?
3 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoHow do I treat the new cat now that she has met the resident cat?
Today (after some time smelling each other behind doors) my new spayed female cat (Lina) was introduced to my neutered male cat (Conan) whom I've had for 3 years. She is sweet, trusting and passive, he is agressive and afraid of everything. At first he followed her around the house hissing and she ignored him. Now when he approaches her she gives him a growl to stay away.
I got Lina specifically because I wanted an affectionate cat. I want Lina to stay sweet and affectionate, and to encourage the sweet behavior, but every time she shows affection he lunges at her or hisses at her. I try to pet him and play with him, but he doesn't like to be held or petted that much. Should I be ignoring her in front of him, or just ignoring him when he gets upset that I am petting her? Please answer only if you know the right answer, no guesses!

You feel emotions completely unrelated to your life? What if it happens a lot? Does this happen to other people? If something really minor and stupid goes wrong, should it make you really depressed? Does everyone have strong emotional reactions to upsets in their life, or am I crazy?

6 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoShould someone quit their teaching job in this economy if they hate it?
If someone really really hates their teaching job, and it makes them miserable, do you think they should stay at it until the economy gets better or quit and go to school again for a 2-year degree in something else.
Just to clarify, this person is really really good at the job, it just stresses them out and makes them miserable because they want to do a good job. Doing both at the same time is not an option.
