I had a headlight go out on my 99 Jetta, I replaced the headlight bulbs, but now I'm having problems with my brights. When inside the car, if I have the lever that controls the brights in any position, it still have the bright light indicator lit up on the dashboard. They will not actually be on unless I have them pressed forward (which normally is how you turn the brights on). I am confused, all I did was change the bulbs, unplug and plug them back in, what could be causing the problem with the brights?

I am not a car guy by any stretch of the imagination. I was at home depot last night and heard a loud sound, so when I got out of my car, I didn't notice anything wrong. It was dark out so I just drove home. When I came outside this morning to try to figure out my problem, I noticed that the entire back end such as the exhaust looks to be lower. I took some pictures of what I think is the problem. Can you tell me if this shows what is wrong with my car, how much it may cost me to fix, and if it is safe to drive to the mechanic or if I should have it towed. It's a 2002 Toyota Camry. Let me know if additional info is required.

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry with almost 150,000 miles. 4 Cylinder. Yesterday I was not able to get my car to start so i called AAA to come out and test the battery. The battery tested out fine so the guy tapped on the starter with a hammer to get it to start. I took it down to Pep Boys thinking it was a bad starter, but they said that the starter passed all the tests. They wanted about $270 to replace it so I decided to wait in case there was a different problem. I have started it at least 15 times since in the last 2 days and it is running fine. Should I have the starter replaced, wait for it to happen again, or could there be something else wrong. If I should go ahead and replace the starter is that price too high? I'm in California if state matters for price.

Someone asked me, and I honestly don't know. I have a feeling there isn't much difference, but can anyone say otherwise?

I just bought a house, a foreclosure, so tons of weeds. It's a quarter acre lot in Bakersfield, California. Right now, and for the forseeable future, it's going to have to stay that way because I can't afford to do any landscaping. I'll pull, and take out all the weeds, but how can I keep them away once they're gone without spending tons of money?

My best friend and I have been watching it every week together, but now she has to work Monday nights and has to miss it. I don't really care for the show, but I enjoy watching it with her, and she loves it. Is there anywhere that I can either download or watch the full episode online? Decent quality, or anything.

It's always worked before, when I press f5 or f6 to adjust brightness, It pops up the normal thing on the screen with the bars, but instead of adding or taking away bars as the brightness adjusts, it gives me a "no" sign. (Circle with a bar going through) I haven't changed any settings (at least intentionally, haven't messed with anything lately). It just started today. Any suggestions?

I want to upgrade to a better motherboard on my hp computer. i've upgraded everything else. Will vista still work or am I screwed. If it won't work can I do a new install off of someone elses disc and just use my product key off of my computer or will it not work since it's oem?

I need high definition channels and directv has the best lineup of HD right now but I heard that att is coming out with a cable through the phone lines in my area soon and I'm very interested in it. I heard that in areas that it's already out that it's really cheap and a great deal so I don't want to be on a contract when it comes. Cable doesn't have as good of HD but they don't make me sign a contract. Both are about the same price, I'll suffer for a while if I have to with digital cable if it means I'll be contract free.

Ok, right now on my computer I have a dual boot of vista and ubuntu. I have two hard drives, a 400gb with vista and a 500 gb with ubuntu. what i want to try is to put vista and xp dual booted on the one drive for obvious reasons. my question is can i use the same programs or do i have to install them on both partitions hence taking up more hard disk space.

So basically for programs like office 2007, open office, firefox, and quicken that are compatible with both...do i have to install them twice or can i have them installed once and have access to it with both vista and xp. if this is the case hwo do i go about doing it?
