Suppose that a vehicle with mass 2.5 x 10^3 kg is powered by the combustion of octane in the vehicles engine. Determine the mass of CO2 emitted from the vehicles exhaust to accelerate the vehicle from 0.0 to 65.0 mph. Assume that the efficiency of the engine is 30%. (only 30% of the energy generated from the combustion of octane is harnessed to do work). The formula for kinetic energy is KE = 1/2mv^2.

I don't even know where to start, my teacher warned that this would take a while.

i am comparing two sets of temperature data, one taken during the ebbing tide (tide going out) and one taken during the flooding tide (tide going back in) this data is from the Snohomish River Estuary, and the temperature from the first group is much COLDER than that of the second group. why would the water be colder when the tide is receding than when it is flooding? - besides the potential for weather changes. i have already accounted for this.

my boyfriend doesn't eat a lot. he eats pretty big meals, but only once or twice a day. after every time he eats he gets a stomach ache, and sometimes pukes it up. not a lot of puke, but enough to worry me. this has been going on for months, and he doesn't think anythings wrong. there are occasions when he will eat and nothing will happen, but he usually feels sick. he has never had an eating disorder, and doesn't eat very healthy, like the average 18 year old guy. any ideas as to what's wrong?

in my Algebra class we are doing slope intercepts, and i was wondering why in a problem like Y=Mx+B, why "M" means the slope, and "B" means the Y-intercept, is there a reasoning for this?
