  • Any coal miner wifes out there who?

My husband is a coal miner and has been for a few years but I still get moments where I just can't stop worrying about his safty I know that the statistics are pretty good these days not near as many accidents but I can't stop worrying it's crazy. I think part of the problem is a few months back I went down with my husband to see what he does and its neat down there but where he works on the face was kind of creepy. So my question is are there any other coal miners wifes or family who have the same fears and how do you cope? Please no hate responses

  • Is wrong to accedently concive on purpose after 5 years of marriage?

OK first of all let me say this is not about me this is a question a friend asked me that really just blew me away. Her and her husband married a little over 5 yrs ago they have a wonderful relationship and are very much stable. When they got married my friend was ready to start trying for a child then but her husband said he was not ready to give him 3 yrs so now its 5 yrs later and he still says he is not yet ready. She feels like her clock is ticking and feels like if she were to get pregnant he would be happy about it because she thinks he is just scared he had a rough up bringing. So today she asked me woud it be wrong if she accidentally got pregnant on purpose. I'm guessing what she means is stop taking the pill and not really say anythin. I don't want to give her bad advise I know and understand why she wants to but is it still trapping a man even though there already married and commited to each other?

  • How much is too much when it comes to children and sports?

I have three daughters and all play multiple sports. I feel like I run myself ragged and I'm pulled in 1000 different directions. They personally want to play and cry when I speak to them about letting some go. My husband works evenings so It's just me responsible for getting every where they have to go. My husband and I both believe it would be ok to have them make choices and thin down our schedule but,my mom firmly beleives that since they are all very good students that all these activities will make them well rounded people and I spoke to my kids pediatrician about whats to much and informed me that I should let them play and as many sports as they can that it might make me crazy now but athletic girls are less likely to become pregnant or do drugs. So I am just completely lost on what I should do I feel overwhelmed but I want to do whats best for them?

  • Should I send a message to my father inlaw that I have never met?

Well here is the story my husbands parents divorced while my husband was still a baby and his father well just left and went on with his life only meeting my husband twice since and the last time was when he was about 17yrs old my husband and I have been together 10yrs now and have 3 children and I have never met his father or anyone in his fathers family. My husband really has no interest in contacting his father or his fathers family he said that if any of them had wanted to know him or be part of his life they would jave stayed in contact but for me I'm curious and for medical reasons and personal I would like to meet him or other family members. My mother inlaw passed several yrs ago and I think it would be nice to find other family members. So what I guess where I'm going with this is I found my father inlaw on fb and wonder if its a bad idea to message him when my husband has no desire to contact him

  • Should we have another child?

My husband and I have been considering having another child we have three girls and wouldn't mind trying one last time for a boy(we wouldn't be disappointed with another girl). We are financially stable and take very good care of our children but, my mother believes even though I am one of four kids that in this day and age two is more than enough. All of my siblings have only two children and both of my sisters had their tubes tied after the second child my mom was mortified that my husband and I chose not to do that and went for the third child. Our youngest daughter is turning three in a month and we are considering trying for one more child this summer. When I told my mom she completely freaked out she tried to tell me that she is just worried about my health because all three of my children were born a little early between 34-36 weeks but, they all turned out to be healthy. I know that her real problem is not my health but, the simple fact that she strongly believes that know one needs more than two children at this day and age but, I feel like its really none of her Business it should be up to my husband and I we are the ones who raise our children. Im just Curious what the opinion of other is?

  • My almost 3 yr old daughter gags all the time on strong odors, bad tast, and other things any suggetions?

My daughter who is now almost 3 yrs old has had a gag reflex since she was an infant. When she was a baby she use to gag while nursing or on a bottle at that time I just thought it was coming out to fast for her. Now that she is older she still gags while drinking but, also gags to the point where she sometimes vomits on taste she dislikes, strong Oder's and things that disgust her. One time her older sister had a bloody nose and she gaged until she vomited not to long ago I made a pot roast I put it on before bed and when we got up in the morning the odor was a little strong and she vomited. She has never been able to take antibiotics every time she has needed them we have had to go back to the Dr. and get a shot because she throws them up. Her Dr doesn't even try to give her them anymore he just gives her a shot originally he didn't believe me until he himself tried to give her antibiotics and she puked all over him although I am concerned her Dr. doesn't really seem to be. Does anyone out there have the same problem or have any suggestions on what to do?
