Can the phone always be heard well from the bed in a hotel room? I want to make sure to hear the phone since I'm a sound sleeper, and I can't be late for that wake up call. Can I count on this?

Can just anyone request a subpoena to find out what are contents of your computer? Like what websites you have visited, what emails you have sent?

The temperature light that indicates a cold engine stays on for 10 miles sometimes, other times it goes off after 5 blocks as usual. Then two days ago it started flashing. (Not the red overheating light.) The manual just says "call your dealer." Well, duh...But they want $128 just to diagnose it, not even to fix it. It's not doing it tonight. But it could start again any minute. They're only going to plug in a computer which will tell which system is malfunctioning. Well, duh. Can I just order them to replace the thermostat and call it safe? What do you think? Any VW mechanics out there? Somebody please answer. It's been a day and nothing yet. Need to have some advice SOON.

After a root canal, day 1, the lip was swollen and looked bitten. Then after day 2, the lip is HUGE and extremely painful. There's a half-inch red spot with little white squares (!) around it, which hurts to breathe on. The dentist asked if there was an allergy to latex, but none known. Don't think it was bitten on either day or pinched by tools, etc. It's on the same side as the root canal. What could this be?

She's a 2-yr-old Siamese mix (lynx point) and otherwise very healthy. Her diagnosed "chin acne" responds to the vet's antifungal cream, but then it comes back. I've used up all the cream over a year and want to try olive leaf extract, but only if it won't make her sick. I have a kitty-size "elizabethan collar" to keep her from licking for an hour or so when I apply it, but after a year of that, it just seems mean to make her wear if every day. I'd like to get it over with. OL extract works on other human funguses (fungi), so I was wondering if it would hurt the kitty in any way. I know they are different from us. I have alcohol-based and oil based, and I know she will lick. Any advice?

Should I be concerned? He has a pizza menu from there, too. It seems to have something to do with golf. Indoor golf. But why didn't he tell me he had gone there? And why keep the waitress's (?) card?

I knew this guy casually for the last 10 years, we're both triathletes. Told him I was feeling sad, getting divorced. He sent back a note saying how he'd always admired me, would be a fan for life, and how, years ago when I was crying (in a moment of weakness) and said I wondered if I was loveable, he said he thought, "Is she kidding?" There was more. It was real sweet. He's married, but never mentions his wife. She's not athletic, I take it. Is he flirting with me now? Should I check him out more now?
