WHY won't they use their unity to RESOLVE the issue instead of unity to do NOTHING?

Immigration problems would resolve themselves over time with a biometric ID card. Would ALL the problems disappear? no...but it would no longer be such a divisive issue.

Actually the card could be issued for ALL citizens and no one would have to worry about "having their papers"...just a card that can act as ID, citizenship, drivers license, Soc Sec, Medicare

If an employer hired someone that did NOT have a piece of ID that was "unquestionable"...he would face a $10,000 fine for each violation. This money would pay for all the expensive ID cards...and deportation expenses.

A temporary worker program could be added for those jobs that cannot be filled by Americans getting a fair wage.

Bush had 171 "recess" appointments during his presidency (including the famous Bolton to the UN) to avoid messing with the Democrats.

Now Obama appoints a recess appointment and the Republican'ts go nuts. The guy Bush had in that position says this guy is totally qualified but not the party of NO...can someone tell me why?
