Sarah
did this ever happen?
I am thinking of a story or something in which someone was so sure they were invincible theybdrank poison or something and died. I was just wondering if this was mythology or actual history and the specifics. Thanks.
2 AnswersHistory7 years agoWhen has this occurred in history?
Please give a few examples from history where someone left something up to chance because they were so certain it would work out and failed. Or when somone made false assumptions or somone who's actions had unforeseen implications due to being too certain.
Anything would help. Thanks.
1 AnswerHistory7 years agoHow to use the direct comparison test to evaluate?
The summation of e^-n^2 from 0 to infinity. The book says i must use the direct comparison method which i understand... Just not seeing which summation to compare this to, thanks :)
2 AnswersMathematics7 years agoWhat did I do wrong with this physics problem?
An object in space is initially stationary relative to the earth. Then, a force begins acting on the object, starting from 0N, and increasing at a uniform rate until the magnitude of the force is 48N after the force has acted for 35s. The body has a mass of 5 kg. What is the speed of the object at 35 s?
This is what I did.
(Average force)(time)=m(change in velocity)
Average force = 48/35
So, (average force)(time)=(48/35)*(35)=45N
48=m(change in velocity)
48=5(Vf-Vo)
9.6=Vf-0
Vf=9.6 m/s
However I know this answer is wrong. It is multiple choice and I cannot figure out where my error was.
Thankyou!
