  • Help! Replacing my Nvidia GT 230 graphic/video card HELP!?

I have an e9260f hp with a Nvidia GT 230. here are the specs > http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam...

I'm pretty sure this card has gone bad (again). Video and audio is crackly and skippy. When I play a game, even a low graphic game like Angry Birds, the screen will go black and I have to reboot my pc manually. When the card was working well, I could play Left 4 Dead and the graphics were awesome (Or good enough for me). By the way, I'm not much of a gamer. I watch a lot of HD TV shows and movies and I have a 27 inch screen.

Anyways, the two cards that Nvidia suggests (that are in my budget and can be powered by only 300 watts) are the Geforce GT 520 and/or the Geforce GT 610 Which one should I purchase? I don't care about 3D, but I do want Stereo output. I have my PC hooked up to my home sound system.

I want to simply pay and pick one up at a local Best Buy. I was looking at these two. They are both EVGA brand. They have a dew Galaxys, but I heard that isn't such a great brand.

Here is the Geforce GT 610 that is in stock in my area > http://www.bestbuy.com/site/EVGA+-+GeForce+GT+610+...

And here are the Geforce GT 520 that is in stock in my area > http://www.bestbuy.com/site/EVGA+-+GeForce+GT+520+...

So....which one would be a better deal and be a good performance match to the GT 230?

    Thank you in advance!!!

  • replacing my video card...need help!?

When playing a game my screen goes black and I have to restart my pc manually. I had to replace this card once before (Nvidia GT 230). My sound is also screwing up on movies and mp3s. It's all 'scratchy' sounding. I also downloaded and tested with Furmark and the screen went black and I had to reboot manually.

When the GT230 was working well, it was good enough for me. I played Left 4 Dead and it worked very well. I'm not much of a gamer at all. Just a little Angry Birds, L4D, etc.

Anyways... I don't and cannot spend a lot of money on a new card. Would the "EVGA - GeForce 210 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card" be a decent replacement? Would it most likely perform as well as the GT230? Here's the link for the card at Best Buy > http://www.bestbuy.com/site/EVGA---GeForce-210-1GB...

  • Upgrading/replacing my Nvidia GT 230 video card for my e9260f hp?

Hi...I'm updating/replacing my video card for my e9260f HP. This really isn't by choice, my Nvidia GT 230 card went bad (again!). So...any suggestions? I wanna go as cheap as possible. It was fast enough when my Nvidia card was working well. I don't do that much gaming. Just some "Age Of Empires 3" and a little "Left 4 Dead". I'd like to stay under $100, because money is tight!

    Thanks in advance! :)

  • Need a replacement video card for Nvidia GT 230?

I have an HP e9260f computer with a Nvidia GT 230. My screen goes totally black when playing a game. I'm almost positive it's the video card (again). I can't even play Angry Birds now! I've already replaced this card once. I want to purchase ANOTHER video card. What would be a good replacement card? When the card was working, it was great! I don't care to upgrade. I just want the same performance I had when it was working correctly. And I will NOT buy another Nvida. I also do NOT want to spend a lot of money! Thanks in advance! :)

  • 1099-R total withdrawal?

Hi, was unemployed the entire year of 2011. I had to withdrawal my entire pension from a previous job I had (this was my ONLY income for the entire year). I was laid off from this job back in 2001. I cannot believe the amount that I was taxed. A substantial amount of that money went towards helping my sister and mom with their medicine, food, utility bills, rent, etc. Both my Sister and Mom are permanently disabled (both on disability). And my sister would take care of my mom 24/7 who was bed ridden for the past 5 years. Mom passed away in December. Also, they do NOT live at my residence.

So would I be able to deduct any of these expenses from my income?

  • Christians, I have a question. Wanna try to answer?

Let's just say your bible WAS written by your 'god'. That would mean you would have to believe and obey EVERY word. Right?

So do you believe that people who work on the sabbath should be put to death?

"Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death." ~ Exodus 31:15 KJV

That IS in YOUR 'good book' and you cannot deny it. Even when translated to all the different versions, it still states that the person breaking this commandment should either 'die' or be 'put to death'. http://bible.cc/exodus/31-15.htm

And don't answer with "That's the Old Testament!", because you believe many stories, passages & quotes from the OT; Creation, Adam & Eve, Noah, Job, the sin of homosexuality, etc etc

Remember, this is the word of YOUR God.

  • Christians, answer this one for me?

"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." ~ Matthew 19:21

So why are you not following what Jesus preached? It's in YOUR bible and it's the word of YOUR Lord. Why havn't you sold all of your possessions and given all the money to the poor? Why haven't you sold that computer or electronic device that you are using to answer this question? There are people who are homeless and hungry. Don't you feel any guilt?

What's your excuse? Remember, this is the word of YOUR Lord and Savior.

And don't contradict it by throwing another bible passage at me.

  • Is there a self-injection medicine that is available for pain?

    Hi everyone,

My sister has had all types of health problems throughout her entire life. Deteriorating backbone, the cartilage in her knees are gone, female problems, stomach problems, ulcers, colon problems, carpal tunnel, and a lot more.

She fell a few weeks ago and she has severe pain in both arms. From her neck and shoulders all the way down to her hands. I took her to an orthopedic yesterday(we would have taken her sooner, but she is DEVASTATED. Our Mom just recently passed away about a month ago. They were best buddies). They did a ton of x-rays and concluded that there are no broken bones, so the only thing they could do for her was (A) Give her cortisone shots (Which she cannot EVER have, because she had Cushing's Syndrome. WHICH by the way, was caused by a doctor!) and (B) Anti-inflammatory medication which she also cannot take because of her stomach and colon problems. That goes for ANY type of oral pain medication. And (B) physical therapy.

My sister wants to get an MRI first, but I also said she should take therapy while waiting for the MRI. She is in so much pain that she can't sleep, eat or concentrate on the smallest things. And believe me, she isn't a wimp when it comes to pain. I've never seen her cry until now because of it.

So, is there a self-injection medicine that is available for pain with a prescription?

    Thank you so much!

  • Tax question about withdrawal from a deferred compensation plan?

Last year the only income I had was a withdrawal from a deferred compensation plan in the amount of $16,000. Since I didn't have any other income (unemployed), do I have to pay the total taxes on the 16k? Are there any loopholes that would benefit me? Or do i just fill out an EZ1040 and be done with it?

Thank you so much in advance, :)
