How to I become a Children's Ministry Director?
I am in my third year of college to become an Elementary Cognitive Impairment Special Education Teacher (and will then go on to get my masters in Early Childhood Education), but I'm considering a shift in my career goals. This past summer I worked at my Church as the Children's Ministry intern and I feel called into that line of work, I'm just not sure where to go from here.
So I guess what I'm looking for is...
-Your opinion on this idea
-Any suggestions of how to better tailor my degree/self to be appealing to Churches looking for this position
-Any constructive criticism
Thanks for the help!

I am asking the CEO of Starbucks to sponsor me in a trip to Jamaica and I need someone to PLEASE read over and edit the letter. Below is what I have so far, please copy and paste into your answer the full letter and edit before posting. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Hello Mr. Donald,
I am an avid Starbucks fan and I think your company has an amazing vision for what our world can be. It is on this note that I write this letter to you. This summer I have an opportunity to travel to Jamaica with a team of about a dozen people to work at a Deaf school. We will be playing with the Children who live year round at the school and helping in the continuing building and maintenance of the campus.
Allow me to give you a little background on myself, my name is Sarah although I go by my nickname Sally. I decided at a very young age that I felt lead to be a teacher for children with special needs. In middle school, I was introduced to the Deaf community and began learning American Sign Language (ASL) from my friends in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing department. My freshman year of high school I began studying the language of ASL in a formal setting and believed that Deaf Education would be my future career. I worked hard learning the language and becoming involved with the Deaf community in my area. By senior year of high school, I had outgrown the programming available in the ASL courses my school offered and so was allowed to attend classes at the community college to further my education. Although since entering college, I have decided on another focus in the Special Education world, I still have a strong passion and heart for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.
When I heard that my home church was planning to send a group to the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf, I jumped at the chance to join them. Having a sound knowledge of the language (Jamaican Sign Language is very similar to American) I am a valuable team member. The team will be leaving for Jamaica on the 30th of July and returning to the states on the 6th of August. While it is a short trip we are just one wave in the movement that helps to support the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf.
By now I am sure that you are wondering why I am contacting you about my trip plans, there is only one last hurtle in my ability to join my team in Jamaica. The trip is going to cost $1200 and I do not have the finances available to pay for the trip by myself. I am hoping that after having seen my passion for this trip and these Children you and the Starbucks Company will join with me to help me reach my goal. If you need or would like any additional information or have a request to make of me, please feel free to contact me at (I have my email listed here).
Thank you for your time and consideration,
~Sarah (aka Sally) [my last name is here also]~
