I keep reading about sound suede on the internet. It's really expensive. What can I buy at the fabric store that equivalent acoustically that’s not burlap?

I have just purchased a new home with a theater room. I have a 7.1 Boston Acoustic HS Series Surround sound system from SEARS at a massive discounted price. My question; what will it take to reduce the sound from going into the next room (don't want to make the wife mad) and improve the acoustics in the room. I want to stick to the basic meaning inexpensive.

My wife and I are getting ready to by our first house. The deciding factor will be of course the house but in addition; the location. When planning a family; the quality of schooling is very important. I need to find a list that ranks the school districts in North Texas DFW by academics, diversity, sports, and collage grads. I think this list could help us narrow down the area of where we are looking to move.

I have a Min Pin, he is 5 months old. I'm still strugling to potty train him. I was told by a dog trainer at Pet Smart to crate train him; this is not working he will potty in his crate and not even cry. Every morning and everytime I get off I have to clean his crate. I have a potty pad by the front door so when he needs to go he would go to the door and I would let him out; when he is loose in the apt. but he still goes anywhere he please. Some days are good but most are hurrable. I am getting very fustrated and I ready to give him away. Can someone help me because I am about to find him a new home.
