i recently applied for expenses in work regarding my uniform. i recieved a letter today i am allowed flat rate expenses of 60 for each tax year from the year ending 5 april 2010.

the letter goes on to say she has reviewed the tax year ending 5 april 2012 and had been issued previously showing unpaid tax of £1408.20 and the revised calcualation shows the unpaid tax £1326.20.

then it says i have reviewed the tax year ending 5 april 2013 and the overall underpayment has reduced from 689.00 to 594.34.

i have been repaying tax straight from my wages for the past few years which was set to end this month.

basically, am i set to recieve any money or do i have to carry on paying more back? this really confuses me!!

hi, i was made bankrupt back in 2005 so its long gone now. this december i took out 3 credit cards, purely with the intention of paying them off in time in order to rebuild my credit. i have no savings so i wont have any deposit, my question is what are the possibilites of me being able to take out a mortgage? i am working for a local authority and have done so for the past 17 years, so my employment, regarding re-payments should be ok?

any help/information would be great thanks.

i think i should be paying less, as i have been repaying tax for about 2 years now, could anyone just confirm this please?

i had a tattoo 11 days ago and i have had been told conflicting aftercare instructions. the tattoo artist who did my tattoo told me to leave the first clingfilm on it for one hour, take it off wash the tattoo, apply bepanthem and then wrap it again overnight, the following day i should change the clingfilm every 3 hours and wash and apply bepanthem and follow this routine for 7 days.

now every other person who i have spoken too and also looked for advice online say that keeping it wrapped for 7 days will be bad for the tattoo? it does seem a bit of a long time and i thought it would have been better off letting it breathe to help the healing process?

any advice on the correct aftercare please?

i am currently on benefits but as my 3 year old is starting part time school, i have decided to get back to work. i have completed a childminding course and have paid for it my self and also paid out for first aid course and also a police check on myself, now i have a form to fill in which in turn has to be signed by a doctor and i have been told the fee can be anything from £10 - £280.

i dont have a lot of money, and have already spent a lot on the course, i feel that for a doctor who already earns more than i can ever imagine too should charge just for signing a piece of paper. is there anyway i can get it done for free?

i have been trying for a baby for 9 / 10 months and since i have come off my pill i have had a very regular cycle of 28/29 days that usually lasts for about 4 days and is only heavy for about 2 days but this month i was 10 days late, with no pre comming on signs which i usually get, e.g sore breasts / hormonal / stomache cramps / fatigue so obviously me and my partner were quite optimistic we may have been pregnant! but i had a negative test result and started my period heavy 10 days late! it has lasted for about 4/5 days why was my period suddenly so irregular and now how am i supposed to know when i am next due on / ovulating? have i miscarried very early? thanks.

i visited a fire station about a year ago as they were having a free car seat fitting day and i had my car seat checked, as i was the only one who turned up!! my local paper the evening post asked if they could have a pic of my son in his seat and i said yes, that was the end of it then a year on i went to my local supermarket yesterday and there was a massive poster / sign up with the same picture of my son on the side of the building advertising for another car seat fitting day!! i was only aware the pic was gonna be there till i seen it myself! was a bit of a shock, just thought surely i would have been asked ??!! dont no where i stand here?! any ideas?!! thanks!

I want to find some effective work out dvd's to do at home, i would love a good dance one, i love dance and my favorite type is urban/hip hop....wind and grind kind of dance! like in hip/hop, r'n'b videos! (SEXY!)

A good yoga dvd, i want to improve, core, flexability, strength and i would also like to benefit mentally too, relaxation and stuff!

I do attend a gym as regular as possible, but with a small child it can be difficult, where as i would like to know i atleast i have a few dvd's to keep me going, essentially i do want to loose weight so if anyone knows of any really good dvd's for burning fat that would be great!! my trouble area is my bottom half!! so working that mainly !

there are sooo many dvds i feel lost looking! does anyone know of any that are genuinely worth doing/buying! thanks

i suffer with anxiety and have a 2 1/2 year old son, and have been thinking about having another. i have always known that i have wanted 2 and i really would like them close in age, i just seem to have a panick attack about not taking my pill. its so horrible because my anxiety seems to mainly play up in the evening, all day i want a baby and i dont wanna take my pill anymore, but i always take it before i go to bed as it just naturally brings on panick. i have been through one lot of counselling and have 4 weeks left of another and am also on medication and am trying to help myself through exercise. i just hate that my anxiety seems to make all the decisions for me, its like a different part of me, and we disagree!! help!

i have a 2 year old son who eats his breakfast, snacks and lunch well but he hates eating his dinners if they are home made! even if they are blended like a baby meal! the only type of dinner he will happilly eat is a tin of soup or a baby micro meal, which i obviously dont want him eating. i want him to eat the same meals as me and my partner. he gags and makes himself physically sick after about 4 mouthfulls! its so frustrating, i dont give him a replacement meal if he doesnt eat it but i hate sending him to bed hungry, and ideas???!!!

hi, my 2 year old son refuses to eat any home cooked proper meals! he eats any type of cereal, fruit, dry foods like crackers, biscuits, crisps, bread sticks and cheese dip, toast.....basically nearly anything except dinners!! if he even has a tea spoon he gags and 9/10 times he throws up!! its so irritating as i dont understand it?! he eats the baby jars for dinner still - the age 1-3 ones and loves them, he just will not even attempt home cooked! i have even tried tricking him and putting a mashed up roast in an old baby jar, and he knew!!! he brought it straight back up after one mouthfull ! and wouldnt touch it! any ideas?

hi, long story short, i have a 8 month old son and his dad is a violent bully and is in prison, he's proven that he wont controll himself around our son either so i dont want them to have any contact at all. im safe for a year whilst he;s in prison, but what can i do when he is out? he will not stop, if i run he will go through my friends and family and will not be afraid to use any form of threatening behaviour or violence to find out where i am. i am in an impossible situation and cant keep everyone safe, my son is priority, please help me!

i got signed off sick last year and after months of physio and scans it turns out i have a badly slipped disc and it has damaged two of the nerves in my right leg. now i was on full pay for 6 months, half pay for 6 months and now my pay has stopped. i went into work over a month ago and had a meeting with my works doctor, union rep, manager, and HR advisor and we decided i could have a phased return to work before my operation and then again after. hopefully after my operation i should be ok to go back to my old position as a gardener. now although this meeting was over a month ago i have still not been placed back into work and my pay has stopped. i have been contacting my manager on a daily basis and all he is saying is that his manager is dealing with it and thats it. i am actually classed as disabled because of my back and although i can return to work on light duties they are still not doing to assist my return to work. i work for bristol city council and i always thought a large employer like them would want to help me get back to work.

does anyone have any experience of anything similar happening to them?

i run on a treadmill every other day with it on a speed of 6.2 and the incline goes up to 3.0 for 30 mins. after this i do weights and on the days i dont run i do weights and use a thing called a powerplate.which tones your body. what i am asking is if i follow this routine everyday as well as a good diet, with plenty of fruit and water how long will it take me to get in good shape?

my 18 month old will not eat his dinner and i dont no what to do!! he eats his breakfast of porridge and fresh fruit every morning no problem and he enjoys snacks of things like dried fruit, fresh fruit, biscuits, crackers, crisps (chedders) toast and he loves yoghurts but he wont eat veg! he has eaten almost ever kind and enjoyed them in the baby jars, but seems to hate home cooking! i cant afford to give him the baby jars all the time, and at 18 months i would like him to be eating the same as me and getting alot more veg in his diet, but even when i mash it all up for him he turns his nose up at it! i cant win! the only thing he will eat that i cook is waffles or chips!!! i dont no how to make him eat a real dinner! we live a healthy life style and i have introduced real dinners and veg early so i dont no why he refuses to take to it! any ideas?

i have a slipped disc in my lower back and it has damaged the nerves in my leg. today after 9 months of pain and waiting i have been told i can go on the waiting list for an operation on my back. however the waiting list is 4 months and by then my pay from work will have stopped and that is before i have even recovered from the operation.

i am already on half pay and struggling now, but on the bright side i have a job to go back to after the operation, but in the months whilst my pay is stopped i wont be able to pay rent/bills/ not to mention provide for my family.

i have already told my manager at work about my predicament and he has told me he will arrange for me to see him and also HR department to see what we can do but im really starting to panic about this now and the worry is not helping my condition.

any advice on help i can get would be greatly received. thank you very much.

then it says as part of their review process they have carried out more detailed checks using internal records and external credit refernce agency and they have found 1 or more adults living at my address.

now the thing is i am here alone with my son and have been for 2 years now, i have had people stay over and an ex was thinking of moving in but never did so no one over than me and my one year old has ever been registered as living here.

also the phone number to ring is a 0844 number it charges for the call which i find odd and i can never get through to talk to anyone.

but the other strange thing is the email address is yellow-square.com which sounds strange as i live in bristol and i would have imagined the email address to be a bristol city council.org or a goverment email address.

should i be worried? it all seems a little strange to me?

this person knew my name and address and said my provider was BT but i am signed up to sky broadband, they also said that my computer has been infected by some malicious spyware programme and she wanted me to turn on my computer and i suppose she would of then talked me through the programme.... is it to be trusted???
