  • Iphone 4 Case with a Loop?

I just bought a new iPhone 4. I want to get a protective case, but I also have this really cute Doctor Who phone charm (http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Tardis-Rotating-M... that I want to put on it. Is there any case for the iPhone 4 that might have a loop or a hook for this purpose?

  • Recipe with Firm Silken Tofu?

I wanted to make a tofu scramble for dinner, but I realized I bought firm SILKEN tofu instead of regular. What can I make for dinner instead with Firm Silken Tofu? I don't want to make a dessert as I have a pint of Purely Decadent at my disposal for later. I'm a vegan btw. Thank you!

  • Vegan going to Typhoon Lagoon Tomorrow, Any food to bring?

I'm going on a class trip to Typhoon Lagoon in Florida tomorrow. I need to pack Breakfast, Snacks, and dinner. I'm currently weight restoring and because I'll be active all day, I need a lot of food. I'm a vegan, so no animal products. Keep in mind, no microwave or refrigerator on the bus. Breakfast foods can be slightly cool because I eat it first thing. My Ideas so far are:

    Breakfast:

    - Cinnamon Raison Bagel

    - Banana

    - Chocolate Soy Milk

    Lunch: ?

    Snack: 3 Trail Mix Bars

    Dinner:

    - Phoney Balogna + Soy Cheese Sandwich w/ Mayo

    - Grape Juice

    - Apple Sauce w/ Cinnamon

    Dessert:

    - Chocolate Bar

I still need more food, because I need to eat at least 2500 calories. No weird stuff either, I don't want to be made fun of on the bus...

  • How to prevent my cat from gaining weight?

I've noticed my cat has put on a few pounds lately, not a HUGE amount, but enough to make a slight visible difference. I feed her Purina for cats, she's an indoor cat, and she just turned 3 years old. Any ideas to help her shed the gained pounds and prevent her from getting fat?

  • Vegan in Disney World?

I am a vegan, and I am going on a class trip to Blizzard Beach in a few weeks. I don't need to worry about breakfast, because my class is taking an airplane to the park. My main concern is what I can eat for lunch. We aren't allowed to eat out of the park, and I don't know if they will have any vegan food available. I don't think you are allowed to bring food into disney parks. Has anyone been to Blizzard Beach as a vegan? Thank you!! :)

  • How many calories should a teen vegan eat?

I am a 16 year vegan girl (I've been vegan for 3 years). I am 5'6 and weigh 120 pounds. I want to maintain my current weight, not gain, not lose. How many calories should I be eating? What type of foods should I be SURE to include often (keep in mind I have all AP classes, I'm a gymnast, and I have little sisters to take care of, I have no time to make huge meals daily). I work out usually about 3 times a week, from 40 min to an hour, either doing gymnastics or swimming laps in a gym pool. Thank you!

  • Abs in a little over a month?

I am a 16 year old girl. I am 5'6 and weigh 120 pounds. I'm pretty skinny, and I'm trying to gain a little more weight. I have a big pool party coming up in a little under month and a half and I wonder, is it possible to get decent abs by then? I don't want to look ripped, just a little toned. Is it possible to achieve that in such a small amount of time? If so, how would I go about it? Thank you!!

  • Would you say this work out is light, moderate, or heavy? Something else?

I am a 16 year old female. I swim in my gym's indoor pool non-stop for 40 minutes. I don't stop the entire time and I do flip turns instead of stopping and turning around at each wall. I am not swimming slowly, but I'm not going as fast as I possibly can. I am going at a brisk, decent pace. Would you say that this work out is light, moderate, heavy, or neither? Thank you!

  • Vegan throwing a Cuban Party?

I'm throwing a party for my uncle who is coming back from a 3 month long trip to Russia. I'm inviting my family and his family, including extended relatives. His family is very Cuban, so I ordered rice, beans, yuka, and some meat dishes. I am a Vegan, so I need a dish to make for myself, but I wouldn't mind making some extra to show everyone how delicious vegan food is. I already ordered one vegan chocolate cake and one normal cake. I'm on a budget, so it needs to be simple, easy to make, and cheap. Nothing too scary. For those who don't know what a vegan is, it's someone who doesn't eat eggs, meat, or dairy. Thank you :)

  • Is this pasta whole grain?

I bought this quinoa pasta in hopes of adding more protein to my diet. It occured to me though that I wasn't sure if it was whole grain ( I do not eat white flour). http://www.littlestomaks.com/2010/03/product-revie...

Is it whole grain? Or is all quinoa whole grain?

  • Can I make a vegan milkshake this way?

I've been craving a milkshake all day (Ok, actually I've been craving chocolate chip pancakes, but I figured this is a good alternative). I'm out of bananas and vanilla soy milk, but I do have vanilla soy yogurt, chocolate soy milk, cocoa powder, and Ice cubes. I was thinking I could use these measurements:

    7 or 8 ice cubes

1 1/2 cups of chocolate soymilk

    2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

1 package of vanilla soy yogurt

But I'm not sure this would create a milkshake rather than a slushy chocolate flavored pile of crap. Does it seem ok? Any thing you would change? Please hurry, I'm hungry :D

  • Vegan Social Problems?

I have been a vegan for 2 years, and it's done great things for me. I really love being vegan. I am not boisterous (ie, I don't preach to non-vegans and I don't make snide comments to someone eating a ham sandwich). Every single one of my friends is a non-vegan, I don't know a single vegan, or vegetarian either for that matter. Whenever someone comes up to me to make fun of me (ie You're so stupid, you don't eat anything; what's the matter with you, don't you know you're going to die? ugh, you're such a hippie, etc), which I can totally handle, my best friend stays quiet, or even subtly nods. While I can tolerate the meanness, mostly because they are untrue, my best friend not supporting me hurts my feelings. Is there anything I can do or say to her to make her understand? She is from Brazil so her family eats a lot of meat, dairy, and eggs.

    Thank you :)

  • Are these pancakes healthy?

I have two good sized (maybe 6/7 inches diameter?) pancakes at least once a week, sometimes twice. I usually have some fruit on the side, maybe a banana or strawberries. I'm a vegan so this is a vegan recipe.

    1 1/2 Cup Soymilk

1 and 1/3 Cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour

    1 tsp Baking Powder

    1/4 tsp Salt

    1 tsp vanilla

A handful of dark chocolate chips

Is this ok or should I seriously cut back?

  • Vegan recipe with Pine Nuts?

  • What do you do if you are invited to a dinner party?

I just received an invitation to a dinner party. I do not know the couple who is throwing it exceptionally well, however, I like them very much, and hope to become friends with them. I am a low-key, kind of shy, vegan. I'm not a boisterous animal activist, I don't criticize people who eat meat, in fact, all of my friends are omnivores and I don't know a single vegetarian besides myself. I don't like being pushy. I don't know what the polite thing to do in this situation is. I want very much to attend this party, but I cannot eat eggs, milk, or meat. Is it unreasonable to request something for me to eat, or should I just show up and not eat anything? Any other suggestions? I want to be as polite and cause as little aggravation as possible. Please help, thank you.

  • Keep having this scary dream, anything I can do?

I have had this reoccuring dream for years, ever since 5th grade. It changes a little, but the main theme is always present. It starts off with me seeing a tornado in the distance heading towards wherever I am (usually at my home, but it has happened in places such as school, restaurants, etc). The group of people I am with (usually either friends or family, but it has occurred a few times when I am with strangers) and I survive the tornado by hiding somewhere (Usually in a closet, but sometimes it improvises, I've hidden under stairs, beneath a stage, in a cabinet), only to see another one coming. The dream feels hours long, with tornadoes coming, one after the other. It's been happening even more frequently recently! Is there anything I can do to make it stop? Its very scary and interrupts my sleep.

  • Worried Vegan on Vacation?

I have been a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian for years (I'm 16 now). I recently, in the past 2 months, went vegan. My family is not vegetarian, although they cut back on meat, do meatless mondays, etc. This weekend is a long weekend and we are going to a beach side town. This "town" if you can even call it that, is very small, and I drove through it once (quickly, though, so I only saw part of it). It didn't seem to have a convieniant store of any kind, one hotel, and only a few restaurants. What am I supposed to eat??? I don't want to be only a vegetarian for this vacation and I would like to stick to being vegan, but if I can't eat anything but salads for the next week, I'm going to have quit for the vacation. Any ideas what I can do to not quit??
