I just got the news last night that my father is gravely ill and it is a very painful due to the nature of the illness. I did not have a nice childhood but it doesn't make me grieve any less. It will all be over soon his death but the grieving process is just beginning. I don't want to bury my grief in anger so what should i feel about someone that treated his family so very badly?

He was born way high on the side of a mountain in Austria and you needed to be part goat to climb up there. He had a special dish that was his favorite and ate it when possible. I had the opportunity to have my tante annie make it,give me a serving and then told me the story about Adolf Hitler. I must say it was very delicious and I can see why anyone would enjoy it.

I am a citizen of one of the tribes, it would be interesting to know how many people know who we are and why we are considered to be the civilized?

All of my family has been estranged from each other for years, why all of a sudden would i feel this over whelming need to be in contact.

This is a learned behavior in all of my siblings and myself. We use it as a form of punishment that my parents used with us. I can recognize it but I don't think the others do so it appears to be futile on my part to get us to communicate with each other. Does anyone else have this same issue and if so, do you have any suggestions?

I need to know what to do about the silence of his feelings? He went in at 17 and came out at 53 emotionally around 20 with a somewhat bizarre since of reality and expectations. He is kind and gentle but has no communication or social skills. Clams up when emotionally fearful and sex is not on the agenda. He has been out almost 2 years, and i relocated cross country to be his companion. I'm to old to go back and I do care about him. How can i help if he does not see any of the issues or doesn't admit to them? I'm alone and needing advice. storyteller
