Why does god make only women suffer punishment and not men?

I have been raised a christian, and taught the adam and eve story...

but now, at 23, I have been going over and over and over the story's and scenarios and it just doesn't make sense. in fact, the more I read, the more I feel angered and disgusted by "god"s cruelty, unfairness, unforgiveness, sexism, intolerance and sadism.

I am finding it almost impossible to want to worship this god who would create such a trap for adam and eve in the garden. First of all, he doesnt even tell eve directly not to eat the fruit, and then he sends the serpent to tempt eve?? and then blame all of sin nature on woman, and then torture every single woman for eternity with excruciating pain in chilbirth? and then to allow women to not only go through such physical pain, but then be told that they are second class and treated horribly in general.

Not a feminist but isn't that a bit unfair to punish humans only through women and then expect women to worship him? I know some people say that childbirth is such a "beatiful thing" but I've seen it, as well as gone through it, and I just cant believe that something that horrible and flawed is something any God would have part of.

and what kind of god would force every human to worship him or be tortured for eternity in hell??

can someone please explain these things to me in a way that actually makes sense?????

Can I collect unemployment if my employer was shorting my paychecks?

I applied for unemployment, but it was denied because my employer stated that I had "quit without exploring all options" which was not true. I filed for an appeal, and had my appeal hearing today, and the judge said the decision would be mailed to me. But I am so anxious I can't wait to find out if I am eligible.

Here is the basic situation:

I left my work on maternity leave, planning to return as soon as I was able to work again.

A couple of weeks into my maternity leave, I got a call from one of my co-workers advising me to check my paystubs and paychecks, because he had just found out that his paychecks were being shorted. I had been suspicious of this myself, because the last 3 paychecks we had recieved had been personal checks, with no paystubs attached.

I text messaged my boss (we were route drivers,so he always had us communicate via text)

asking for a copy of my paystubs. he became uncooperative, and told me not to contact him on his phone anymore, and if I had any questions to contact the new route manager.

I tried many times to contact the new route manager, but he never returned or answered any of my calls. I sent two letters via certified mail asking formally for a copy of my paystubs, and, finally, as a last resort I went to the place myself and got a copy of my timeclock/paystub.

I realized that a LOT was missing! and being cut off from any communication with my employer (no cooperation at all) I decided to file an unpaid wages claim.

employer did not show up at the unpaid wages claim conference.

My question is, do you think the judge who handled my unemployment appeal hearing today is going to rule in favor of me (for qualifying for unemployment)???

I had my appeal hearing today, and the judge said the decision would be mailed to me. But I am so anxious I can't wait to find out if I am eligible.

Help! I need advice from someone who is knowledgeable about laws! (marriage laws?!)

First off, I am getting married because I got pregnant. (yes it was an accident, but I have decided to carry through with my mistake.) and it has always been my life expectation to be married when I have a child. (integrity, family values, etc). So when he proposed, I said yes.

If I end up getting divorced, I accept that. But at this point it is something I feel that I need to go through with to fulfill certain expectations I have for my life.

The situation is that he has NO money, no bank accounts, no car/ valuable property.

he is on general assistance in the state of california, and has been out of work for a year.

I have a bank account with about $5,000 in it, that I have been saving up from my dry cleaning delivery job. and i also have a car, (an older car with about a $3,000 value.)

My question is; What exactly happens to my money and possessions when we get married??

does my money and possessions now belong equally to him????

Could he legally use my money, access my bank account, or use my car??

does everything that is mine become his as well?

If so, how do I go about filing a prenuptial agreement? and how much does it cost?

I realize that I am not getting into an ideal situation, but something that I am still going to go through with. At this point, I am just concerned with protecting my possessions and bank account.

The wedding is on the 21st of december. what steps should I take now, to protect my assets?

my boyfriend/ the father of the my baby (i am 3 months pregnant) whom i have just moved in with two months ago, is sometimes very aggressive with me.

i'm not looking for attention, just really need a few opinions/ voices of experience that can listen to my situation and tell me if it is ok or normal, but i can't really tell any of my friends or family so i am coming here as the only place i can think of. please dont make rude comments as i am not trying to cause problems just need an opinion. or advice from someone who has been in a similar situation.

at first he just grabbed me by the throat and mildly choked me, but not enough to do damage, just so that i couldnt talk or move. he would also grab me and throw me down on the bed or against the car, depending on where we are, and would hold me by the throat so that i cant talk or move. if i start to walk away or turn my back he grabs me and throws me down and gets on top of me to prevent me from moving, and then yells at me.

lately though, he has been choking me more powerfully, to the point where it hurts and i cant breathe and start to feel light headed. if i try to say anything, he smacks, slaps, or punches me in the face, usually the jaw.

when he lets me go, he usually says something like, " see what happens when you make me mad?!" or "dont make me ******* mad!" or, while hes holding me by the throat, "don't make me even more mad or ull see what i do to you".

i am a great "wife" and i try my hardest to make him happy. because of his jealousy, i no longer talk to any of my friends, or have contact with anyone. and he is now telling me that he doesnt want me to go to my mothers house anymore, (i sometimes go to my mothers house because she worries about me not feeding myself well enough and taking care of myself and the baby inside me)

he accuses me of cheating, talking to other guys, and whenever i go anywhere he assumes that i am lying about where i was. when we argue over the phone, he says such things as "i want you to be waiting for me when i get home, i'm going to beat the f u c k out of you" or "just wait till i get home and see what im going to do to you"

after particularly violent incidents, he apologises and says that its just because he loves me with all his heart and hes jealous.

I love him too, but i am feeling so nervous and anxious all the time and my life is completely shut down becasue of the limitations he puts on me, i am not able to socialize or be in public places unless he is there.

i dont know what to do, or if i am just worrying for no reason. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR ADVICE?

I also had unprotected sex on May 5th (he came inside me once with woman on top position)

and also on May 6th, and 7th (he came inside me.)

on about may 17th i noticed my stomach was kind of bloated. which was unusual because I havent been eating very much lately. and then i began to feel a crampy feeling and that hard uturus feeling like when youre about to start your period. so i assumed that i was about to start my period. however, now, at may 22nd, I still havent started my period, and the swelling of my uturus has gone down slightly and barely any more cramps.

what does this mean????
