  • Can anyone explain the whole bot invasion?

Sorry I know this is not specifically LGBT but has anyone worked out what this is?

I can't see any rhyme or reason for the way its being done....is it just to eventually drive Y!A out of the way or make it so unpopular it folds?

Is it Verizon finding a way to get rid of a non money making site without just shutting it...?

    Any idea peoples?

EDIT And yes I am already smiling at the irony that I will be drowned in bot responses :)

  • Making Excel Pivot Table ignore blank columns?

I am a pretty good excel user but have not until recently worked with pivot tables.

My data source can have different numbers of rows and columns for each customer BUT the actual fields I want (TOTAL PAID and DURATION) have the same column label in every data dump for every customer so thats fine..

So far I have to go and change data source to look at rows and columns eg: A1:AF3000.

If I just look at A:AF that solves having different number of rows but if I only have data in columns A:AA then of course I get a pivot table error because there is nothing in columns AB to AF.

I can add in a dummy heading like NODATA to columns AB through AF and that solves the problem but its really clunky and then I get NODATA as field options for the pivot table in the worksheets.

How do I make the pivot table just ignore blank columns?

Blanks rows are fine because I just untick BLANKS in the filter on the pivot table in the template and problem solved for all new spreadsheets built on the template.

The spreadsheet has about 20 pivot tables (spreadsheet not designed by me and I can not change this but I would like to make this updating process more efficient) and the data source has to be changed for every single one because my columns vary from one customer transaction list to the next.

And no I am not able to fix that I need to make pivot tables be OK with blank columns when a customer only has data in for example columns A:AD instead of A:AG.

    Hope this makes sense?

  • Why doesn't the U.S. hold elections on Saturdays?

In Australia all our elections occur on the weekend when more people have time off and can vote.

    Just curious.

  • Why are we here?

No I don't mean in some cross legged, transcendental, kombucha buddhist way I just mean...why are we here today??

If I am here I am either:

    1. Avoiding a uni assignment

    2. Avoiding housework

    3. Avoiding calling someone like my sister or people I know I SHOULD call but don't really want to.

    Right now it's 1.

  • Can someone explain why itunes is worse than a dumpster fire?

that your grandmother lit so she could get rid of the bodies?

Just installing the software has taken 3 hours and 3 help videos to fix windows installer issues that EVERYONE seems to have.

Now I have to restore a brand new iPhone8 because I accidentally changed my new passcode to something I have no idea of because tapping the home button 3 times starts voice help and somehow it changed it.

Now this useless bag of pigshit called iTunes is downloading new software for the phone.

At about 1/10th of my usual download speed - who knows why?

And now my phone has flipped out of restore mode cause it took too long and I have start over again.

So why. Why is what should be simple and intuitive harder than landing a man on the moon with a sun dial and, 2 cans and a piece of string.

    Why?

What specifically tells you someone is older?

Wrinkles and sagging facial skin are obvious ones but thats not one I am talking about.

If you look at this photo of Christine Baranski (just a random example) there are no visible lines on her face or neck, no jowls or heavy eyes - but I can tell she is in her 50's at least (she's actually 66) but I don't really know how?

Any clues on what exactly makes a face look old apart from the obvious?

  • So apparently Australia, being an early adopter of technology, will have loads of electric cars on the streets quite soon?

Considering how fragile our electricity grid is and how much energy it would take to "refuel" these cars every day....where is all this extra electricity coming from?

Can renewables be built fast enough to cope or will coal be fuelling these green machines?

  • How do you handle alcohol?

Are you someone who has no issue with several drinks in a row or are you like me in that you find it difficult operating heavy machinery after 2 drinks?

  • Whats money called in your personal budget that is just for you to spend?

Items like "Fun" or "Entertainment" don't do it for me - there is another word I am trying to think of that is similar to disposable income but refers to money I can do whatever I want with.

    Any ideas word stars?

    Fiddle Leaf Fig?

    Hi

I bought a FLF 2 weeks ago and have new leaves shooting up but they seem to have some brown spots on them - the plant is about 2 feet tall.

I watered it when I first got it and have mulch on the soil - it still feels damp when I check the soil up to my first knuckle so I assume its not ready for more water.

I get the feeling they are kinda picky to raise so I want to do the right things for it.

I have it next to a full length window and its gets afternoon sun which is dappled for a few hours and maybe full sun for an hour.

Is this too much sun for it? I am in Australia and yesterday was first day of summer - our climate is probably similar to southern California.

Are these spots nothing to worry about or do I have a potential problem?

  • This blows my effing mind!?

This pub in Fairfield has bribed charities into providing it with letters of recommendation to install another 7 poker machines.

This pub has given literally hundreds of thousands of dollars to charities so charities will say what an outstanding corporate citizen it is and that the installation of said poker machines should proceed.

Fortunately that money I suppose will end up being able to support the people whose lives are ruined by pokie addiction.

    Silver lining!

  • How to get rid of an obsessed user?

As soon as I answer a question he is straight in there with some comment or other.

Its like he is obsessed with me and just can not leave me alone.

I never start it, he's always the one who can't wait to try and get my attention with his silly little antics.

How do I discourage this brainless little twerp?

I just want to come here, have a bit of a laugh and leave - he simply can not stand to not be at me to try and get my attention. Bizarre.
