Spiritually speaking, why am I getting 4 points per answer?
Have the Y!A gods rewarded my dilligence?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhat did the Pope really say about atheists?
Plus, I decided to be sexually attracted to men today..
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIf somebody "reports abuse" is the question deleted automatically (ahem. Spiritually Speaking)?
Or is there live moderators who eyeball the questions.
Or both?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy is a certain somebody?

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhat are the components of an experience of God?
How would I know I had one? How is it distinct from any other experience?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow come I am supposed to have sinned?
In my mind, I live an ethical life, I don't lie, cheat or steal, I'm loyal to my wife, lawful, helpful and compassionate, caring, etc.
How come I have supposedly sinned?
I did swipe cookies and lie when I was a kid. Is that supposed to be my sins and where I've "fallen short?"
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDo you guys *really* think that atheism leads inexorably to nihilism?
Even though there are hundreds of atheists on this site that claim to lead rich lives, full of freedom, joy, and meaning?
What is this thing with nihilism? (I think people just like to use the word, I know I do. Makes me feel educated)
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWould this guy be a great Poe?
I am begging you to watch this video entitled "Atheism Destroyed with One Question."

I'd hate to meet up with this fellow in a dark alley. He might spring up on you like a squirrel.
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality9 years agoCatholics: Did you ever get advice?
from a priest about sex or child rearing that you knew was flawed because the celibate priest had no kids of his own?
What can priests possibly contribute about something they have never experienced.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWeird Science or God's Truth?
"Science tells us that light is constituted of three primary rays, or groups of wavelengths. Clearly distinct from each other, none of them without the others could be light. Each ray has its own separate function. The first originates, the second illuminates, and the third consummates. The first ray, often called invisible light, is neither seen nor felt. The second is both seen and felt. The third is not seen but is felt as heat.
Like light, our “One God” is revealed in the three distinct persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. “For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one” (1 John 5:7 NKJV)."
Found on Cupcakes' website. http://www.amazingfacts.org/free-stuff/online-libr...
(don't miss the illustration)
Poll: Do you find this to be credible and proper science, and do you agree with the connection between the science presented and the point of doctrine.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoI posted this as a comment in a thread on the suggestion blog, will it be seen by the moderators?
"There are serious questions and answers on Y!A, in the R&S section particularly. Things that affect people's lives. In real life, some things are positive and some are negative, and it's a mistake to artificially prune the negative. Half-@ssed is bad, no matter which cheek you have left!
Add "useless," "harmful," and "inaccurate" at least. People are tougher than you think, they can take it, and you might be doing a credulous young person a service. You have gutted the usefulness and effectiveness of the rating system."
Is there another place to post these kinds if things, or is the suggestion box the best place?
4 AnswersYahoo Answers9 years agoTechnical questions about Paul. (why do you add the question mark, do you think I would forget)?
How did Saul get a Pharisaic education in Tarsus?
If he was busy persecuting Christians in Jerusalem, why did he feel the need to go to Damascus to persecute the Christians there?
Why would he go to the High Priest, who must have been a Sadducee bitterly opposed to Pharisees, for authorization?
What authority could the High Priest even had in Damascus?
Please help.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoSpiritually speaking, did I miss the R & S typing tutorial or something?
How do you guys get your answers up so fast?! I'm typing like crazy, and my answer is on page 2.
Y'all are quick!
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIs a prayer for something specific more likely to be fulfilled if you are right with God?
Is there any way to know which prayers will be answered beforehand?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoTheist viewpoint please (Abrahamic.) Is God involved in each individual conception?
Did God create the mechanism that just runs when sperm meets egg, or a cell divides, or does God preside over and breathe life into each new zygote or cell?
Scriptural evidence as well if there is any please. I know this is a clumsy question but I hope you know what I'm asking.
(repost, looking for more answers.)

2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoHey, I just made level 5! Remember when that meant something?
Did Y!A make those changes to the point structure?
(I know, not religious. Pretend it's spiritual)
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoHow many of you have actually reviewed this contract?
I've seen it posted dozens of times, and totally ignored it. Here it is.
The fifteen promises of Mary to Christians who recite the rosary:
1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against Hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities and will lead them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the saints in Paradise.
9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire Celestial Court during their life and at the hour of death.
14. All who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
Who wrote this up for her? Did she? These are some hefty promises.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy is human misfortune essential for recruitment?
Most testimonies I hear are some variant of "there was something missing in my life, until I found God (was saved, accepted Jesus.) I've never heard anyone testify that their life was so great, that they "just had to acknowledge God," because it would be inexplicable otherwise.
Am I wrong about this?
