I have strict Asian parents and so the way they grew up was very different from the society we live in today. I am a freshman in highschool (15) and my parents do not want me dating until college. While when I asked my older brother about his opinion on me dating he simple said "I'll refrain from answering that." I'm in a long distance relationship so him interfering my studies wouldn't be the problem because he's so far but...I was going to wait till college to date him in order to satisfy my parents...however now I don't know what to do. I feel so shunned for dating at the age of 15 due my families opinions on dating. I'm quite shy and not very confident in myself either so I put myself down in situations like this as if I'm doing the wrong thing. Please, your opinions would be very helpful at a time like this

John: John is one of those guys where you instantly click with. Sometime's when I talk to guys I have this awkwardly shy feeling inside of me, but with John I don't feel that way at all. I feel so comfortable when I'm talking to him and he's just the funniest most sweetest thing ever. However when John talks to girls face to face he becomes really shy...but when I hang out with him we're the loudest people on the face of the Earth. I think the reason why he is so shy in public is because he has so many insecurities about his appearance. I'm 15 (technically) and John's 19 but he doesn't mind the age difference. John has never been in a relationship before but is thinking of maybe trying it out.

Sam: Sam is the sweetest most precious guy ever. He is most definitely a musically talented guy who has his life revolved around music. Sam plays the guitar, sings and wants to pursue a dream of a singing career with a band made up of his friends (whom are music junkies). However he has bit of a messed up life... because his grandmother takes drugs Sam has anxiety, depression, ADD, etc. He also takes medication in order to hold himself together. Sam's so honest, sweet, and caring but yet he has to go through this... :( Stuff like this just makes me want to hug him tightly. Sam is 15. Additionally Sam is one of those guys where he has so much in common with you its feels as if hes was meant to be with you. Our conversations are very sweet and fun (not sexual, fun as in like talking about video games, hobbies, etc). Sam is also shy when talking to girls face to face but he seems to be comfortable when I talk to him.

Sam asked me to be his girlfriend today and John confessed he has feelings for me but i'm not sure whether or not to be with John or Sam.

This week I have NO IDEA what is going on! Three guys confessed to me and asked me out all in the time span of one week. The white annoying kid, the white emo kid, and the asian. I'm currently 14 but i'll be 15 in two months and i'm asian (chinese) so you know what that means. " No boyfriend until you finish college." "People who date in High School have no future. Boyfriend=sex, sex= baby, baby= no college education, no college education= no money." Once when I graduate college I just know that my parents are going to rush me into getting married. Idk it might be this stage in my life where i'm hitting a rebellious stage but the asian one that asked me out yesterday is so sweet and shy and it just melts my heart. He's my brothers, friends, brother, if that makes any sense. Should I date him behind my parents back or wait until im allowed to?? I've literally gotten no sleep what so ever because I stress waaayyy to much over everything. Help please?!

I always kid around with my best friend Bryanna and my other good friend Aiden saying that they should date and they would be really cute together (cause they would be)! Last night was Homecoming and at one point Bryanna and I wanted to stand on the outside of the crowd to take a break (mostly cause it was a slow dance song), and so Aiden comes up asking, "would you like to dance?" Immediately I shove Bryanna in front of Aiden and as Im running away, Im just really hoping they would dance together cause that would be so friggen adorable! Five minutes later as Im dancing with my friends Bryanna goes up to me and says, "Aiden was asking if YOU wanted to dance. It was awkward so I walked away to look for you and he was following me." At that moment I just froze...one of the biggest "Oops" in my life! Do you think he likes me? If he does should I go out with him? I mean hes really sweet and nice. But my parents donts want me to date until im in college -___- (im 14 btw)

Due to some previous difficulties with my family restaurant my parents have began to continuously fight. But today my grandparents (on my dad and moms side) got into a HUGE fight. It was one of the most terrifying experiences I've ever had. I was so frightened that I was shaking.... I rushed out of my room hoping to stop them but ... I didn't know what to do... I wanted to cry. I wanted to run away. It feels as though things use to be happier back then. I want to believe that things will get better in time but it's just so hard. Someone just please help me. I want to be happy. I want to laugh. I want to honestly show the world a genuine smile.

This summer we were assigned to read a novel, The Pearl by John Steinbeck, and write a five paragraph essay on what the author is trying to make the reader understand? Anyway I finished my essay about a week ago and my friend just finished reading the book today. She asked me "Can you email me your essay so I can get an idea of how to set it up and what to write," and to be honest I don't feel too comfortable sending her my essay, it's not that I don't trust her but its just i don't really understand why I should. In my opinion the question should be answered in your OWN perspective not others. How do I tell her "no" without sounding too mean?

Last year I was talking to my friend Jenna about trying out for volleyball in high school (I will be going to high school this month) and i asked her if she wanted to try out with me so she said, "Sure! I'll try out with you! It will be fun!" But four days ago (8/6/13) their was a mandatory fall sports meeting in which all athletes ( football, cheerleading, cross country, tennis, volleyball, etc.)had to attend and after we had one big meeting with everyone we had to break up and go to certain rooms to meet and talk about our specific sport.

For example, people trying out for football go to room B104. People trying out for volleyball go to room C103 and etc.

When I walked into the room I was greeted by Jenna's mom with a great big hug but Jenna was already seated with three other girls, other wise known as the "popular" girls. I was shocked. She didn't say hi or anything to me, so I sat in the back row all alone until two other girls sat in my row. Whom I know them but aren't close to them because their a year older than me. I know I shouldn't let such a stupid thing stop me from trying out but it hurts to feel all alone and ignored by your friend... I hope she wasn't fake until now.... I mean i love to play sports and I've been working for months now getting fit so I'm ready for tryouts. (im not fat im jut trying tone up my body) Should I still try out so later in the future it will help get me into a good college or should I try something else?

In late August I will be starting my freshman year of High School! If you have any tips on studying, making more friends, fashion and etc that would be great!

My parents own a Chinese restaurant that is not doing so well, which I work at EVERYDAY! Because my older brother left for college it is now my dad, mom, a part time chef, a part time waiter(works when I'm at school) and me. However my mother works at two jobs, the casino (she has two days off a week) and the restaurant so she practically gets no sleep. She wakes up at 2am to go work at the casino and comes back at 12 pm and then works at the restaurant until 9 or 10pm. As for my father he works at the restuarant all day and earns no pay check because we aren't making enough. And then theirs me, I go to school and work at the restuarant after school until closing. That being said I wasn't allowed to participate in any sports, hang out with friends, and stay after school for help. I still managed to maintain all A's though, however next year I'm thinkin about participating in volleyball because I enjoy sports and need to show colleges I'm a well rounded person (if I want a scholarship). Volleyball is only during the fall so its not too long, only about two-three months. My older brother has a friend who will be going to college close by so my brother said his friend could cover me if he has to, but is it okay to play volleyball or help out my family first?

During February 14th my school hands out order forms for carnations to send to friends, lovers, teachers, etc. So I decided to send a carnation (anonymously) to my crush who i liked for two years. BTW I was thirteen when this happened and I hadn't gone out with anyone. That morning the students handed out the carnations and as soon as his name was called to get his flower his face turned bright red! Of course everyone was trying to figure out who sent him the flower and in two days EVERYONE on my team knew EXCEPT him. It took him about 15 days to figure out I was the one who sent him the carnation, so the very next day before class started in social studies his friend helped him place a note on top of my social studies book. Written in side said, " do you want to go out with me? -Derek," and words could not explain how happy I was! And instantly I wrote "yes :)" and put it on his desk. But the next day after school he messaged me over Facebook saying that his mom didn't want in dating yet and maybe when we're older. As the news about he brake up spread a rumor appeared as well. People were saying that he only asked me out to be nice and he never liked me. In order to get a clear and wear I asked him, " I want only the truth, okay? Did you really like me or did you just ask me out to be nice?" A couple hours later he replied, "both..." Me being the idiot I am I got into an argument with my friend whether he liked me from the start it if he was just being nice. I believed he honestly liked me cause but my best friend said he didn't and he was just being nice. Since I've known my best friend since we were five i believed her, and my feelings began to change for him. The other day (im now going to be a freshman in August) we were talking about it and my bet friend goes "oh now that I think about it, I think he liked you." If he asks me in High school to date him wat should I say?
