  • 5 year old's dream...?

My son, 5yo, woke this morning to tell me he had a bad dream. He looked quite shaken and worried about it which isn't like him. Apparently, "a mamadressed in black with a black hood carrying a brown stick with a curve" called his grandfather (my mum). My son doesn't know what a grim reaper is. I even asked him. This sounds silly but . . .does anyone know what his dream means?

  • Have a possibly slipped a disc or something else?

Hi guys, i'm 23 YO female. I have had back pain since i was about 15/16 mainly in my pelvis, but it creeped up and up and i also have wear and tear in my neck. I have a little boy and pregnancy worsened my back. The specialists i have seen reckon i have "non-weight bearing discs" in my back that wont show up on an xray/mri when i lie down.

Anyway, about 2 weeks ago i was painting my kitchen. I didn't notice any particular injury during this but it's pretty hard going on my back. At night i was pretty aching, so i had a shower and realised just how painful my back was. It felt like i had a knife in my lower back and struggled to get out of the bath. I actually started crying and couldn't dress myself or walk downstairs that night. I took some strong painkillers and went to bed. It was pretty sore for a few days (almost a week) after this. It was a bit sore the other day so i took it carefully, Last night i cleaned my bath as gently as i could but about 1 minute after i was finished and i stood up straight my back kind of jerked and spasmed. It eased overnight but happened again today whilst i was walking to my kitchen and it is agony (knife feeling again).

For the last few weeks my knees have been really painful and are significantly weaker. Any ideas what this could be?

  • Do "home hair colour removal" products work?

Ive coloured my hair black for years and i now want it chocolate brown as the black is too dark and harsh for my skin. I have bicarbonate soda as advised by my HD, but unsure how to use it on my hair?

And advice on how to rid my colour?

  • Severe back pain but unsure of the cause.?

Im 22. A single parent of a young boy and i find life really hard because i am always in so much pain. My back pain has been an issue for many years and i cannot say its specifically related to an injury, and i am also very aware if my posture. Ive been to gps, orthapedics, physio and finally found a chiro who has helped me a bit but we cant work out whats causing this.

Recently its gotten worse. I had a slight rotation in my pelvis according to chiro and an awful lot of tension in my mid back and neck.

    Symptoms:

Swollen tissue and pain around rib cage causing breathing difficulty

    All over back pain

Knotted muscles either side of spine

    Discs/vertabrae feel bruised when touched

    Weakness in arms and legs

Awakened at night with numbness in legs/pins and needles

Shooting pains from pelvis to heels

Bruised feeling/dull ache in pelvis after a few mins of walking

Tension up entire spine even in my skull

Im in so much pain 24/7. I never lie in bed as its too sore i try gentle gym sessions, pilaties and yoga and swimming but its so difficult to exercise through the pain. Im not overweight, im otherwise fit and healthy. Ive had an xray done which came back normal but hoping for an mri. Im so stiff in the morning. I can barely play with my son and its so depressing i feel really guilty about it.

Can anyone think what may have caused this? Any advice? Ive had to cut my hours at work to a minimum but i fear f this doesnt improve i may have to stop working and thats the last thing i want.

    Thanks guys!

  • Fainted and vomitted this morning. bad period?

Ok i slept pretty much all weekend. I was so tired but i hardly done anything. I could barely keep my eyes open, i almost fell asleep driving. It was strange for me to be like this because im a single mum of a three year old who keeps me pretty active so i normally have plenty of energy. Apart from this i keep well. I had a copper coil fitted in oct and my periods have been a lot heavier since but nothing too bad. I woke up about 6am with a very heavy period, i passed a semi large clot (sorry tmi) and was about to get myself cleaned up when i suddenly felt dizzy. I passed out a few mins later (only for a few secs) when i came round i vommited and passed out again. Im 22. This has never happened to me before. Could it be anemia? Or has anyone else had problems like this before? In worried it happens again as i live alone with my son and certainly dont want him to find me in such a state.

    Thanks

Can anyone help me? Any math geniuses or any good websites that will break everything right down so in 8 year old could get it? :) Im really stressing out. Thanks in advance.

  • Rotated pelvis advice?

Hey guys, after 2+ years of agony which include a painful pregnancy, unbelievable amounts of physio, xrays, GPs, osteos, sick lines, days of being unable to look after my son....i may FINALLY have an answer to my back pain which has ruled my life for too long. im 21 and cant go out in heels....how sad :(. anyway i had a friend of a friend look at my back and she told me i have a rotated pelvis, im back on the waiting list for another physio so i can tell them what i know now. she showed me how my legs and arms are different lengths. very clever actually. anyway my question is, what kind of treatment would work best to CURE this? and in the mean time how can i live with the pain? ive tried acupuncture but im needle phobic so it didnt work. im a single mum of a 2 yo. there are days i cant even play with him its so frustrating and he needs lifted up etc. i also have to sit and work in a call centre which is a nightmare so im off again. i get a bruised feeling in my pelvis, i feel my movement restricted, knots in my back and neck, constant cracking and tension in my upper back. i also heard somewhere it can cause disc damage is this true?

  • calling computer geeks! i am at the end of my tether with my internet problems please help!?

i have a lenovo laptop, and my broadband is with sky, whom i work for so i know that none of my sites are being blocked as previously suggested. i need a resolution to the folling issues...

    1. my laptop only connects to my home broadband, it will "connect" to public networks but it says limited access and wont allow me to browse or use the internet in any way.

    2. i cannot use Arez, frost wire, torrents to download music, neither can i use Itune (hence why i tried these other sites. they all say they cannot find an internet connection. i cannot even look at the itunes store they all tell me to check my internet connection.

i have had a static and dynamic ip address, no different (albeit i have no idea what this does)..i have uninstalled and reinstalled all the programs i wish to use. i cant even use the youtube converter as none of them can find an internet access. Finally, i cant connect to any other internet except mine so i cant check what happens on other networks. i must be something SO simple. PLEASE HELP!

  • Could my breathing difficulties be related to my back pain?

sounds mad i know. ill keep this as short and simple as i can. i feel like i can take a deep breath, its really painful down my trachea and my ribs are painful, i have been given countless antibiotics, treatment for possible gastric reflux due to internal inflammation, inhalers. We cant get to the bottom of it.

Recently i visited a chiropractor for a long term back problem. Me pelvis is completely out of place and my spinal alignment....well, aint very good to say the lease. Its fixable but quite bad if im honest. She advised me my soft tissue was very swollen. Is it possible this is pushing against my ribs/lungs and restricting my breathing?

    thanks in advance

(cant get doctors appt until tuesday so figured i would ask)

  • breathing difficulties, chest pain and heart palpitations?

hi guys. well...i had bronchitis in january and after a course of antibiotics it got better but my chest still felt a bit restricted. so GP gave me another course of different anti biotic. Made no difference, If im walking up the stairs or to the park with my son my chest is quite restricted and im always out of breath. The same happens when i sit down (work in a call centre, HA) and i feel like i cant take a full breath because my chest is restricted. My chest muscles feel slightly strained when i breath now (no wonder) I also have a sharp pain that i suppose feels like indigestion and i get occasional heart palpitations when lying down or sitting. I have been to my GP twice since january. Once to get two inhalers and a peak flow monitor but i cant say it feels like asthma and inhalers don't help. I have been on Omeprazole for indigestion for three weeks and have changed my diet just in case (GP is just exploring options just now) But i can honestly say its not working and i feel its getting worse. I hate not being able to breath properly it makes me panic which does not help! Sorry for such a long post. Any advice? im 20yo female, not overweight or anything, relatively fit (i would like think :D)
