  • LG LCD Resonance Problem?

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 37" LG LCD (I'm pretty sure the actual model number is 37lg30)

When it comes to audio, I have a bit of a problem. Actually, a rather big one.

The speakers on the TV are built in to the chassis of the TV itself, which looks fine, but it leads to the problem.

Whenever the sound on something gets below a certain frequency, the entire housing of the TV buzzes because of resonance (I notice it most when the letter 'n' is spoken and on the menus of the Wii).

The set has a L and R RCA audio out, which I tried to utilize by getting some speakers and hooking up a wire which goes from RCA to speaker wire, but nothing happens. I can't even get audio out of the speakers. I've looked in the menus of the TV to see if there is some sort of audio out option, but I haven't found anything of the sort.

More or less, I want to know how I can fix this resonance problem the cheapest way possible. I would rather not buy a home theatre system, I don't have room for it.
