Hi there,

I recently took my computer tower to a repair shop after it wouldn't connect to a monitor; I had already tried it on 3 different monitors with different VGA cables to make sure it was the tower. After being in the tech repair shop I was told it was a scratch on the hard drive which subsequently cost in excess of £100 to replace.

However, since bringing it back home it still won't connect to a monitor, so I just want to know whether or not a scratch on a hard drive could actually cause the above problems or if they have just seen the scratch and in the mad Christmas rush fobbed me off.

Also, what else could cause the tower to stop connecting to the monitor?

Was just wondering whether or not residential under 18s (he is 12) are allowed on the bar premises after 9pm? There is an upstairs living area but is constantly in the pub area when alcohol consumption and sales are constantly taking place.

Hi, I am 19 and 5ft 10" and only weigh 9 1/2 stone, I have coeliac disease but have stuck to my gluten free diet so pretty sure it isn't this that is preventing me from putting weight on. I've also tried the weight gainer protein shakes to no avail. Is there anything I could try to gain weight? I also eat quite a bit as it is so it isn't through lack of food that I am skinny.

I'm looking for an online dvd rental place where I can watch the dvd online rather than get a disc sent in the mail, but I don't want to pay a monthly subscription fee like you have to for Lovefilm and Blockbuster. Does anyone know any websites which do this?

My sister has being living in a flat for over a year now, there was problems with her and her now ex and he moved out and refused to pay back there debt so my sister is being evicted, Currently she has no-where else to go (she is on housing benefits) and has a baby as well, she already knew she was being evicted at some point but wanted to delay it until after christmas. So he said he was taking her to court. But today he phoned my sister and said he has been to court and she is being evicted within the next few days. Can he actually do that? She was never informed of a court date or anything of the sort, is he just bluffing or is that actually possible?

Hi, my Lenova G Series laptop is making an annoying buzzing sound, its coming from the fan I know that, i've already taken it out an cleaned it and removed all the dust and its still continuing to make the sound, it only happens when I'm doing something on the laptop if its sat there doing nothing it's fine. Is there anything else I can try or will i just need to buy a new fan? Oh and the sound goes on and off repeatedly like Bzzzzz bz bzbzbzbzbzbz silence for couple seconds then repeats.
