I'm writing a book and need to know the name of a safe, trendy dance club in the New Orleans area.?
Age range should be younger (20-30) but not too raunchy. Can anyone help me out here? I researched Mo's Chalet, but from the sounds of it they aren't for the younger crowd.
8 AnswersNew Orleans1 decade agoIs there any really good sports bars in New Orleans?
If so, do they have a website?
4 AnswersNew Orleans1 decade agoI found a really pretty wildflower growing in clumps on our property. It looks like a tiny daisy with?
a yellow head and white petals. Can anyone tell me what it's called?
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoI'm doing book research and I need to know if there were any battles fought in the Geogia colony during?
the Revolutionary War... If so, what battles were they and where can I find a resource website to give me the details of these battles?
1 AnswerHistory1 decade agoI read a really good civil war love story called "Ashes in the Wind" once...?
Can anyone tell me the author? It's an older book, but it was so great! I want to find it and read it again!
1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoI heard a pretty crazy rumor today from a usually credible source Britney Spears' little sister is pregnant!!!
Is this true? If it is, it's just sad. She's younger than my sister!!! What is wrong with that family?
9 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoIn the movie adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility, Marianne reads a passage or poem to Elinor...
I was wondering who wrote it or what book it's from. It goes like this:
"Is love a fancy or a feeling? No. It is immortal as immaculate truth. It is not a blossom shed as soon as youth drops from the stem of life for it will grow in barren regions where no water flow nor ray of promise cheats the pensive gloom."
It's so beautiful and I'd just like to know who wrote it...
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoDeathly Hallows epilogue?
Why are people saying the the epilogue of the last Harry Potter book ruined it? My sister and I thought it was wonderful. I can't understand why people hate it so much. For me, it settled my curiosity about the characters' futures. So what if it didn't say what they all ended up doing for a living? At least we know their happy and that they have families. Can't people be satisfied with happy endings anymore?

Is this normal?
18 AnswersFamily1 decade agoI have three labs, medium-size and weight. They always smell so bad. We try to give them baths...?
but this gets exhausting when you're doing it once or even twice a week. What can we do to make them smell better? Also, they shed a lot. Any suggestions for this problem as well?
10 AnswersDogs1 decade agoI have two male labs, one black, one brown, and a black female lab. They' re all the same age, born Oct. 2005
The boys have always been really friendly and good-natured toward one another and their sister and they've never hurt each other or anything or anyone else. But recently I've noticed that when we lock them in the kennel (all three in one extended cage) they get more agressive toward one another. My husband came home one night to see that the black male had the brown pinned by the throat and they were snarling and barking really aggressively. The female was just watching, not barking or snarling at all. Then today I looked out the window because I could hear them barking and snarling more than usual and they were about to go at each other, teeth bared, jowls pulled back and everything. I just want to know what's going on with them. Is it just male domination? If it is, why haven't they done it before this. They're almost two years old now. I want it to stop because I don't want them to hurt each other.
11 AnswersDogs1 decade agoI'm writing a book and doing research on New Orleans...?
I want to know from people who really know the city...what's your favorite thing about New Orleans? No negative answers about the crime and Katrina damage, please. I've only been a couple of times and want to know from a more experienced perspective what you love most about the Big Easy.
1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoAnother Harry Potter question...?
...about Luna Lovegood. I'm not a big fan of Luna unlike a lot of other people, but I do think she'll have some big roll in the last book. Do you think she possesses the Sight like Madame Trelawny? Maybe this will explain her weirdness...her ability to see the things that pull the carriages...and other things... What do you think? Valid point?
14 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoIn the fifth Harry Potter book, Harry acts really angry.?
Is this change of attitude because he is being possessed by Lord Voldemort or is he just being a typical teenage boy coming into his own?
14 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhat do you think about romance novels?
Lay aside the stereotypes and the skepticism and tell me what you really, honestly think about romance novels. It can be stories by Jane Austen or Nora Roberts. A recent statistic showed that half of what is published today is from the romantic genre. We're not talking erotica here: just mainstream romance, the love stories--not the sex stories. What is your opinion of this genre and why do you think people are snapping them up left and right?
9 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoHow should I handle this situation?
My husband and I have been living on his father and stepmother's property next door to them for a little over two years now. We're saving up money to buy some land or start renting a place of our own. He lived here before so they didn't seem to mind it until about three months after I moved in. She started acting strange. She went from really friendly to really stiff around me. I don't know what I did and didn't want to make it worse so I stopped going over to their house. I stopped talking to them because I didn't want to be an annoyance so I just stayed out of their way for a year or so. It never seemed to bother them until about three months ago when I got a letter from her. She went on and on about how awful I am as a person, how stiff and cold I am. She said I act like I am above her. I was just trying to stay out of their way. No matter what I do she has a problem with it. I'd move away but this isn't financially possible at the moment. What should I do or say to her?
10 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoWhat are some noted colleges in New Orleans?
I'm writing on a book based in the city of New Orleans, LA, and I want to know the name of a good college my characters could have graduated from. Any suggestions?
5 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoRecently I learned that a school in Virginia has a rule about "no touching"?
That's right: no hand-holding, no high-fives, no hand-shakes, no hugs... These kids are in their tweens to teens. The school board is standing by it though there are some issues with students and parents who disagree. A psychologist says that touching for this age group is essential for proper growth. Who thinks this rule is absolutely terrible? Can you imagine a middle school or high school where you got in trouble for holding hands or hugging?
