Research Project Ideas in Epidemiology?
Hi!
I've just began my research project for my final year at university.
I have several ideas, but I'm not sure which has the most potential
If there are any other scientists/students that can help with ideas or give me some feedback, I'd really appreciate it. I want to work with pathogens etc and I'm interested in how and why disease spreads. Here are the two main ideas I'm playing with at the moment..
- Comparing the amount of gram negative bacteria before a club opens, compared to when it closes.
- Surveying the amount of potentially dangerous microbes on paper money and coins.
Any ideas?
Cheers.
1 AnswerBiology8 years agoWhat is the best way to organise my friends list on Facebook?
I have 700 facebook friends, and I know all of them. However, they vary from work friends, family, acquaintances, best friends, and friends.. and as of recent, my boss.
What is the best way I can organise all of my facebook friends so that there are different privacy settings for different groups of people? Obviously I make friends lists, but who should I puet in each group?
2 AnswersFacebook10 years agoActivities for children who don't speak English?
I have 2 foster children staying with me for 2 weeks from August 3rd. They are 9 and 10, and don't speak a word of English.
I was wondering if anyone with children knew of anywhere I could take them in or near London, ideally educational, that doesn't rely heavily on verbal communication?

3 AnswersLanguages10 years agoHow can I help my Nan take care of her cat easier?
My Nan finds mobility difficult, but loves cats.
How can I help her so she can take care of her cat properly?
She can't bend to do the litter tray - any ideas on how we could adapt the situation to make this easier?
We've put the food on the kitchen side, but obviously can't do that with the litter tray.
Any ideas welcome
Thanks

4 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoI forgot to sign on JSA. Help?
Hey there.
I was meant to sign on today (Tuesday)
I've just moved house, and had done a 3 hour trip to see my parents at my old home.
My Nan had a fall last night, she is very sick with terminal cancer, so my Mum and I went over to hers and I stayed with my Mum for the evening.
I then did the 3 hour journey back, and my mind was so over the place, I forgot to sign in.
What will happen?
Do I tell them the truth or do I lie and just say I was sick?
I rely on these payments ..

1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoPremedical Year At Thames Valley University?
I have ambitions of being a doctor, and have been looking at this course. However, it has some very bad reviews. I just wanted some peoples opinions who have been on this course or who are going by clearing this year or for 2011 entry.
Is this course difficult to get onto?
Will I be able to study medicine after I complete this course?
Thank you x
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoCharli/Charlie/Charley?
I've always loved my name.
But always "ummed" and "errred" about the spelling.
Charlie seems to masculine.
Charley seems to feminine.
What about Charli?
Is this more androgenous do you think?
It might seem silly, but being genderqueer is part of my identity, and I want to reflect this in my name.
I'll welcome any other ideas on how to spell it :)

Which universities will take a good grade in Pyscology with Neuroscience if I want to enter as a graduate on an MBBS medicine course?

After my first year, is it possible if I do well enough, to transfer onto a medical course at either the same university or a different one?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoHow do I make myself look more androgynous?
Androgynous means to have a balanced look of feminine and masculine. So people can't work out as a boy or a girl.
I'm biologically female, although I identify as genderqueer.
I start university next year, and want to look more masculine, but I don't want to look like a bull dyke :) You know what a bull dyke is. Those banchee hardcore butch lesbians that I love. I want to look more like a feminine man if anything.
I've thought about going to the gym more.
My hair is really short already.
Do I have a masculine face?
What do you think?
Do I look too feminine to ever pass as male?
I know I'm wearing make up in the photo, but I was trying to contrast it with a boys shirt and hair style.
Anything else I could do with my hair or makeup?
Advice please :)
Cheers
xx
