  • What would purple dye look like on brown hair?

I want to dye my hard a really dark purple (almost black, but it looks purple, you know?)

I have dark brown hair (not so dark that it would be mistaken as black, but darker than "chocolate" brown)

What would dark purple dye look like on my hair? What shade should I use to get my desired hair colour? I know it's hard without a colour reference but please bear with me

  • My payment is pending but I got an email asking for authorisation?

I ordered a pre-order item on Barnes & Noble that goes on sale in 5 days. My bank account says that a pending transation with B&N is going through, so the money is no longer "available" to me. That's completely fine!

So why did I get an email saying to update my payment details because they didn't receive credit (debit) authorisation? If the payment is pending on my end, doesn't that mean they got authorisation from the bank?

Can I just ignore it? I received the email two days after I made the purchase, and two days before today.

I called B&N half an hour ago, but the person on the other end just explained the process and didn't help me at all. I felt stupid after we hung up.

    So my question is

Do I need to do anything? If the payment is pending on my bank account, does that mean the payment has been authorised? (The money won't leave my account permanently until the order's release date)

    Please help! Thank you!

  • Is there something very wrong with me?

For several hours every day, I'll listen to music in bed while imagining myself as someone "ideal" who I'll refer to as "K". She's good at everything I want to do.

"Y", her best friend, is also K. It's as if they were split into two. I'm both K and Y, but I'm also not.

K's bad luck caused her family to die of horrible deaths. She brings unhappiness to people she's close to. Y kills herself in every "reset" of my world.

K & Y are depressed. K feels like she's "falling". She never dies as the "imagining" would end if she did. I spend hours with K & Y and their friends, remembering what they do.

I talk to myself out loud for 5-60 minutes every day. I'm not particularly lonely, and I'm not talking to K or Y. I either talk to myself or to someone I don't know. I'm usually correcting them or lecturing them. Sometimes I don't even realise I'm doing it until the conversation is over. Something I'm trying to help the person.

I sometimes think I see something moving, when there isn't anything there that can move. It could be a small black shadow move across my line of sight, usually disappearing to my right. Sometimes I'll see gold lights swim across to my right. It's not from looking at direct artificial light. If I follow the gold lights by looking to the direction they head, I still see them moving. It lasts for a few seconds then they leave.

I have clinical depression and social anxiety disorder, and have had it for a few years. Other than that, is something wrong with me?

  • Is it safe to keep a mouse in a drawer?

Final question is at the very bottom of the drawer details.

My sister owns an almost 6 month old mouse. He's not too small and he's not too big, about the length of a fully developed middle finger (not including the tail, obviously).

She keeps him in a small cage that is about 8 x 15 inches. She keeps the box in a somewhat okay ventilated room near the front door. The window is constantly open, in fact it's never ever shut.

The drawer is hardwood, not the cheap ikea wood for bookshelves. It's thick, small and stuffy.

The cage is plastic, so is the lid. The lid has tiny ventilation holes. The mouse has straw/hay for rodents and also a wheel that takes up most of the space.

My sister rarely plays with him and often forgets to give it food, which means the cage is only removed from the drawer whenever she plays with him or somebody feeds him.

Also, the drawer is only slightly open, there is a binder clip leaving it open (though honestly you can completely shut the drawer even with the clip there so I don't understand why she uses it). The space keeping it open is about 2 centimetres or so.

Is it safe for the mouse to continue living in this drawer and cage? Should I stop worrying about him since he's already lived half of his life?

  • I want to become a music teacher when I'm older. How would I say it?

If I wanted to add "I want to be a music teacher when I'm older" to a social media bio, which would be more accurate?

    - Aspiring Musician

    - Aspiring Music Teacher

I'm 14, so I'm not sure if calling myself an aspiring music teacher would be right... But I do play the piano, so maybe an aspiring musician is correct? I already know that I want to go to university to become a teacher and major in music, etc etc, but as I'm 14, I'm not sure if "aspiring" really work.

Would it be incorrect to call myself an aspiring music teacher at this moment in time?

    Please and thank you!
