22-year-old with acne?
I'm a 22-year-old male who still has pretty bad acne on my forehead. I wash my face at least once a day, make sure not to touch it, eat right, exercise, drink tons of water... all the things I'm supposed to do. I can't seem to shake my bad skin though. I've tried using regular soap, salicylic acid wash, benzoyl peroxide... nothing seems to work.
Do any of you have anything else I can try, or am I doomed to look like a 13-year-old who doesn't shower forever?
2 AnswersSkin Conditions7 years agoIs it safe to use this power cord?
I lost my laptop's power cord, so I had to buy a new one. Unfortunately, they don't seem to sell the cord my laptop needs anymore, so I had to buy a $8 Chinese one off amazon.
When I started plugging it in, when it got about halfway into the plug, it shot off a spark or too. I pulled it out immediately, and I'm too nervous to plug it in. Do I have a dangerous cord, or were the contacts just dirty? Is it worth trying it again?
I would just return it, but it would cost more to send it back that the thing is worth.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoLooking for a Yu-Gi-Oh game?
It's about half nostalgia and half legitimately liking the card game, but I want to get a Yu-Gi-Oh game.
I want the most recent one available for maximum card representation, but only to a certain point. I got, like, "5Ds Super Ultimate 2010 Edition," but that has a lot of stuff I don't like, like synchro and XYZ and card games on motorcycles.
So, what's the most recent Yu-Gi-Oh game with the classic rules/playstyle? Preferably for GBA/DS.
1 AnswerCard Games7 years agoI unplugged my computer in sleep mode, but it saved everything. What happened?
This morning, at about 4 or 5 am, I woke up to an intense lightning storm outside. It was flashing almost constantly, with loud thunder every few seconds. I figured it was best to unplug my desktop PC to prevent any power surges. The previous night, before I went to bed, I put it in sleep mode like I always do. I didn't want to risk turning it on long enough to shut it down, so I just pulled the plug, figuring it was the lesser of two evils.
I was surprised to find the next morning that when I booted up my computer, everything had saved. All the windows open from the previous night were still open, and it "woke up" rather than a cold boot.
I'm just curious, what happened? Was there still enough power in the surge protector to keep it going for a few hours? That's the only thing I can think of. That or the little watch battery in the motherboard.
2 AnswersDesktops7 years agoI have mean and standard deviation, and I need to find the expected value?
I need some help with my homework.
I've been given the mean and standard deviation of a data set, and nothing else. Somehow, I need to find the expected value. I can't seem to find anything in my book, and googling it just confused me.
Is there some kind of formula to do this that I don't know about?
1 AnswerMathematics7 years agoCan I plug a hard drive from an old computer into my new one and pull off photos?
My mom's old desktop computer has this thing where it won't recognize any keyboard you plug into it. She bought a replacement laptop years ago, and wants to get rid of the desktop, but doesn't want to lose all her old photos. Am I able to open it up, pull out the hard drive, plug it in to my desktop, and copy the old photos onto an external USB hard drive? All I want to do is copy the photos.
The only issues I can think of off the top of my head involve the fact that her desktop ran XP and my desktop runs 7. Will my computer try to boot XP off her hard drive when I turn it on? Is there some kind of compatibility thing?
3 AnswersDesktops7 years agoIf I RMA a graphics card and it turns out it works...?
I'm building a computer, and everything works until I plug in the graphics card. I've tried updating the bios, removing and re-seating it, and making sure all the power connections were nice and tight. It's still not working, so I think it may be time to call it defective.
If I RMA the card back to Newegg, and it turns out I just did something wrong somewhere along the way and the graphics card is totally fine, will I get charged or anything? Or will they just send it back to me and call it good?
2 AnswersOther - Computers7 years agoDirectX 11.1 Video Card on Windows 7 PC?
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I'm building a PC for the first time, and want to make sure everything is compatible. The Video Card I'm looking at says "DirectX 11.1(feature level 11_0)" I want to use it with the Windows 7 OS, but I hear 11.1 is a Windows 8 exclusive.
Will I still be able to use the Video Card, just not at its full potential? Or does the "Feature level 11_0" mean that it's fully compatible?
Thanks
(Here it is, if it helps)
2 AnswersDesktops7 years agoGood head-to-head version of Tetris?
My friends and I get REALLY competitive at Tetris. Usually, we play Tetris Party on Wii. Some of us (myself included) hate that version though, because in multiplayer, there's no way to turn off the penalty.
By that, I mean when one player gets Tetris, it shoots four rows of blocks up the bottom of the other player's screen. As far as any of us can tell, there's no way to get rid of it, and it kind of kills the game. It makes it so, rather than 'who can last the longest,' it comes down to 'who can get Tetris twice first.'
I know there's about a thousand different versions of Tetris, so is there one without that... feature? Between us, we have every console from NES to PS3/360. A relatively modern version (with 'hold' and 'ghosts') would be nice, but isn't required.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games7 years agoRandom songs on my iPod I didn't put on there?
I just put some music on my ipod, and when I unplugged it, I found a bunch of songs that I never put on there. Never bought them, never downloaded them... nothing.
Where did they come from? I'm in a college dorm, so did some kind of home sharing thing happen or something?
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players7 years agoCan I plug USB controllers into a USB hub?
I'm hanging out with friends tomorrow, and I'd like us to have fun failing at Spelunky. My laptop only has two USB ports, and I'm wondering if I can use a USB hub to make room for the extra controllers. Will doing so cause any lag or overload anything that shouldn't be overloaded? Between us, we only have three controllers, so I'd rather not run out and buy a fourth if it isn't going to work.
Thanks!
2 AnswersAdd-ons7 years agoCan you make it keep certain Tumblr blogs off your dash, but not unfollow them?
Strangely worded, sorry. Anyway, one of my IRL friends is very active on Tumblr, usually posting non-stop social justice stuff. It's annoying, and I'd rather not see it. I don't want to unfollow her, because she obsessively checks the amount of followers she has, and I don't want to upset her or start a fight.
Is there a way to "unsubscribe," like on Facebook? Like, still "follow" her, but not see any of her posts?
2 AnswersOther - Internet8 years agoShould I crop my ex-girlfriend out of my facebook photo?
There's a photo of me on facebook that I like, and I wanna use it as my profile picture. Problem is, it's of me sitting next to my ex-girlfriend. I feel like if I crop her out she'll be offended, but if I dont she'll think Im a creep. So should I?

I got a bottle of kombucha, and there's all these little brown chunks floating in it. Is it okay to drink them, or should I try to avoid them?
1 AnswerNon-Alcoholic Drinks9 years agoHow to display weapons in Skyrim?
So Im the proud new owner of the beautiful Honeyside in sunny Riften Skyrim. There's weapon plaques and racks everywhere, but I cant seem to display them. There's no way to "activate" them. Like, I highlight it, and it doesnt say "place item" or anything.
It's the PS3 version if that makes a difference. Is it a glitch or am I missing something?

What is that clothing/armor in the one loading screen?
A khajit is wearing it and holding a knife. It looks like leather with a lot of pockets and shoulder pads.
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoSkyrim- Sneaky companions?
Hey thar. For my second playthrough of Skyrim, I decided to be less of a viking and more of a stealth-archer. As far as I've seen, followers I gather arent very sneaky, and always blow my cover.
Are there any followers that are good at sneaking, or am I forced to carry my own burdens?

3 AnswersMusic & Music Players9 years agoHow do I organise my Steam games by genre?
Im able to right click them and type in/select the category, but what do I do to actually see them in group lists?
Like instead of "favorites" "all games", how do I set it to be "shooter" "inde" "co-op" etc?
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games9 years agoIs it possible to fail out of community college?
Hey. So, Im in community college right now, and it's not going well. I took classes that were WAY to hard for me to handle. On top of that, the last three weeks of class, I was in a spiraling pit of suicidal depression, so I didnt go to class at all. Next semester, Im taking classes better suited for me. But Im concerned whether or not they'll even let me take classes next semester. Two of my classes I was doing alright in before I missed a lot, so I MIGHT skate by in them with like a 60, but Im defiantly going to fail another with like a 20. So, anyone know if there's any hope?
