Can I plug USB controllers into a USB hub?
I'm hanging out with friends tomorrow, and I'd like us to have fun failing at Spelunky. My laptop only has two USB ports, and I'm wondering if I can use a USB hub to make room for the extra controllers. Will doing so cause any lag or overload anything that shouldn't be overloaded? Between us, we only have three controllers, so I'd rather not run out and buy a fourth if it isn't going to work.
Thanks!

Hey man! Sounds like fun with that you will be doing. The laptop will not "overload". The reason is that the controller is only sending signals to the computer. The computer is not sending signals back. Apart for the comment that you should have 2 USB hubs. That is nonsense. You could defiantly run it with one. Although I recommend that it is a powered USB Hub. So you would have to connect it to a wall socket. This is just to make sure that the controllers have enough power. But this is NOT needed, only recommend. Have fun playing!

It should not be overloaded, but I would recommend using 2 usb hubs and splitting the controllers among those to even out the load. :)
