Westie question for westie owners?
I have done a little research on westies and was looking for a breed of dog that would best fit into my family. I wanted to know two things from those of you who have owned or own a westie currently. How hard they are to train and how severe the shedding is. I have looked up different sites on westies and they all disagree how difficult it is to train this breed of dog. So I thought I'd ask you guys.Thank you in advance for your time and answers. :)
2 AnswersDogs9 years agoWho can diagnose generalized anxiety disorder?
I figured that it would have to be your primary care physician, but my dr. is arrogent and condescending and I wouldn't be comfortable discussing my mental health with him. I am eventually going to switch drs, but I was wondering if there was anyone else who could diagnose something like that in the meantime or if it has to be the primary physician.
Thank you for your assistance- I appreciate it :)
3 AnswersMental Health9 years agoI thought I would try my hand at poetry, what do you think?
I am usually more comfortable with realistic fiction, but I figured I'd give poetry a try. I know this poem is a bit simplistic with the lines rhyming one after the other in a sort of couplet form, but like I said... it's not an area that I feel comfortable with.
I Will Rise
I will rise
I will touch those eternal blue skies
I will rise
You are not my superior
but my inferior
you cannot see that my blood runs the same rusty red
it's all a sick delusion in your head.
Your cutting remarks
It's all just for show- simply firecrackers and sparks.
I will rise
and won't you be in surprise?
I'll leave you there- tethered to those darkened grounds
where your only company will be your own pitiful sounds.
I'll be in that big wide open sky
I will fly
I will rise
I won't hear you spew your hatred and lies
because my dreams
are as bright as the morning sunbeams.
I will rise
I won't have to hide under this foolish disguise
I wont be afraid,
that you have all your sinister traps laid.
You won't keep me caged any longer
My heart beats stronger.
And my scars are more beautiful than your graceless perfection
I soar toward an ethereal direction
you will not slow me down
with your insidious frown.
I will continue to rise
I don't care if it's me you despise.
Because I will be free
can't you see
That your poisonous harpoons no longer stick in my side
and that my golden wings shine with pride.
You will wish you had loved me when you could
You will utter with your broken lips “Why wasn't it I that had understood?”
You I will forgive
I have so much for which to live
because I was beautiful enough to rise.
1 AnswerPoetry9 years agoFor Authors only: Publishing and Literary magazines...?
I have gotten a few of my written works out onto a website... booksie to be more accurate, and I was looking to take the next step... I would like to start sending my works to literary magazines, in the hopes of getting published. So my question is... what literary magazines have you found that have worked for you?

Ok, I'll make this brief. I'm having a major case of writer's block and can't seem to put anything down on paper. So my question is... What do you do to get through writer's block?

4 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWould this be a copyright infringement?
For an English class I wrote a short story, based on the novel The Great Gastby. It was Gastby's perspective and I was wondering if it would be an infringment if I published it on an online website, after writing that the characters and story was not my own. I will take any advice that you have to offer... Thanks!
