  • Land Ownership Discrepancy?

If you know real estate PLEASE bear with this, read it and give me your advice:

I closed on a home that owns 2.5 acres. When I was going through the purchasing process what was pointed out to me visually by both the seller as well as my realtor was actually 5 acres, I did not know what 5 acres looked like, so what they were pointing out I assumed was the 2.5 acres. We did not get it surveyed. So when I signed this mortgage loan (that said I only owned 2.5 acres), what we thought we were buying was only 50% of what we thought we would own, and we would have never bought the house had we known otherwise.

THE KICKER: To the present moment the PLAT database on our local county website STILL says we own the full 5 acres (when the property was divided in the 90's they never gave it a separate parcel id from our 2.5 acres until recently, so only the GIS has the updated information, the PLAT has incorrect information displayed). So that was what my realtor went off of when showing us the property.

THANKFULLY, our lovely new neighbor who just purchased the lot next door (including the 2.5 acres we thought we owned) is willing to sell us the extra 2.5 acres for a reasonable price, but what I'm wondering is do I have a leg to stand on to ask our realtor/seller/mortgage company/title insurance company if they would throw in some money towards the purchase cost of the extra land as they misrepresented the property?? If this is possible how do I go about it?? Any other tidbits of advice to get this land that we thought we already bought?

Thank you in advance as this has had me sick for days thinking about it.

  • help with settings on a sharp projector?

I have a sharp projector and I would like someone to tell me what I should set the contrast, bright, tint and sharp to. I believe the settings go from -30 to 30. I read about the meaning of each but couldn't find if they should be set higher or lower.

  • Where to buy 30" tall aquarium backgrounds?

My saltwater fishtank is 72 1/2" long and 29" tall with a bow front. I want to put a background on but the only backgrounds I can find for that big of a tank are plain blue or ugly rocks. Anone know where I can buy online or in person a giant reef background that's 30" or taller? Thanks!

  • How can I get my worker's driver permit before my designated time?

I have lost my license for a year for repeated speeding tickets. I know I have to serve 6 months without a license, and then I can receive a worker's permit for 6 months, and then I can get my license back.

I know the obvious answer would be to quit getting violations, but I'm hoping somewhere out there someone might know a way to get my worker's permit back sooner than the 6 months or if not my actual license.

    I live in MN.

  • Metal studs between 2nd and 3rd floor of condo? ?

I live in a three story condo (I'm on second) and the building was built a year ago. I would like to hang my projector from the ceiling, but do not have a stud finder and can't find a stud. I've poked numerous holes in the ceiling and have only come across a couple pieces of metal, so I moved over to where the next stud should be and there was also metal.

    Would this be metal studs?

  • Can a tongue ring cause your lower front teeth to shift forward by the pressure from the barbell?

I've had my tongue pierced for four years. In the last 6 months I've noticed that my front bottom row of teeth has shifted forward and now have a couple gaps behind them. You can't see it when I smile or talk, but it still worries me that it's going to get worse.

Do you think this is happening because of the tongue ring or something else? (I do not have wisdom teeth on the bottom so it's not that.)

Anyone else had this happen to them?
