  • Aggressive dog HELP!?

My dog is a min-pin lab and has been through training. She is fine at say Petco but around the neighborhood she tries to bite the neighbors when I take her for a walk, She nipped my husband when he was putting her collar on. We have been giving her Calming treats, extra training, extra attention. I don't know what to do. She freaks out if you try to put a muzzle on her. We have tried dominating her like the trainer showed us. Even the trainer refers to her as "the nightmare". I am at my last resort here. My husband wants me to get rid of her but I am worried that if I replace her she will end up in the pound and put to sleep. The shelters out here wont take her, even the one she came from... She has bitten the trainer twice and I just don't know what to do. I love my Berlin but everyone has me convinced that she will bite the kids next...

  • Is there a hormone that can help a Persian cat go into a high heat?

My mother is breeding Persians and both are fully papered, champion lined, etc... Anyhow the female who is about 1 1/2 years old has low heats. It is really hard to even tell when she is. She would not allow the male to do anything with her. He is too polite and just goes and lays down. We sent her to another reputable breeder for breeding and our female acts all into the male there until the last second before breeding. We had heard that there was a hormone that can be used in extremely small amounts (as it is normally used on horses) to induce a high heat and make her more willing to breed. The only other thing we can think of is sending her back to the breeder we got her from to breed to another male (not related) but that means shipping her to another state and not seeing her for at least 6 months :( Yes this is my mother's breeder but we are all really attached to her and she sleeps in the bed with me so the thought of not having her makes me sad but if it needs to be done then it needs to be done. Does anyone know anything else we can try? We tried the bleach trick, we have had them together for their whole lives and they like each other normally.

  • What does a pug & lab-minpin puppy look like?

Dad is a pug, mom is a lab, minpin. They tied today after countless effort to keep them apart and the spay/neuter appt is in 1 week! So much for the spay but daddy dog is getting clipped!
