Atheists, I'm curious?
If you are so happy to be atheists (Which I'm not knocking), why constantly attack religions?
Notes
I am not saying that all atheists do this, if you don't, good for you and please take no offense.
I don't know if you only attack christians, or all of them, I just put religions to be all encompassing.
Next question: Do you not like religions for the God? the followers? or the belief itself? I certainly understand that some of you will feel ill towards a mixture so please fill free to elaborate.
P.S> Yes, I'm feeling a bit trolly today
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoI want to be unsulted (Trolls welcomed)?
I know this may sound weird, but I'm looking for some good old fashion troll fest. I wanna get into it with a few people just for the sake of arguing stuff. So who's got the proverbial b@lls? Let it all fly!
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture8 years agodid black people own slaves?
Ok so here's my question. It's pretty common these days for African American people to claim that Egyptians were/are black. Ok, not really fighting that. They also make a big stink about being slaves for roughly 250 years... ok, not arguing that either. My question is, why are African Americans so upset for their ancestors being slaves for 250 years when the Egyptians (supposedly the ancestors to these same black people) held the jews as slaves for over 400 years...?
Nobody made the Egyptians pay back anything. Nobody says the Egyptians own the Jews anything. No 40 Acres for the Jews, no Mules for the Jews... nothing. But yet African Americans will raise heII for stuff they are "owed"... How does that seem fair at all?
Lets also not forget the conditions that each race was held captive in. The black slaves lived in shacks and picked produce and performed other farm duties. They had medical care (scarce but available), food, clothing. They also worked in a more temperate climate, being in the southern US.
The Jews (who were held captive by black people) were forced to build... the Pyramids... and other massive stone structures. They were starved, beaten daily (not to say that the blacks weren't). They also worked in the DESERT!!! No cool breezes, except at night when temperatures could drop to below freezing. Sand was everywhere, not to mention the insect life is way more dangerous than here in the US.
So I ask again... Do the African Americans have any viable reason to complain about being slaves?
15 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups10 years agohow's everyone handling the rapture?
Well, according to mr Camping, the Rapture was 2 days ago.... I didn't notice anything..... He also said back in the 90's that the rapture was going to be in 1994.... didn't notice anything then either. So how is everybody holding up with the whole rapture thing? Any family or friends gone up in a puff of smoke? Anybody see anything strange? Everything is still on par for me here. Just want to know if I missed anything.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agomy generation of wimps?
I just read a question and I couldn't take it anymore. People in my generation and below (30- and below) are being ridiculed for being "wimps" and not living the way they did in the "good ol' days".
They pick on us for having cell phones, being overweight, playing video games, watching TV, not playing outside, not being held accountable to our failures, for being catered to all the time, for being entitled little wimps.
Many older people think that we did this all on our own... that it not true. Who bought our cell phone? who paid for the fatty foods we ate? who let us stay inside all day? who let us watch TV for hours on end? Who made the video games we played all day? who swoops in at the first sign of danger to protect us instead of letting us get what we deserve? Who will "solve" our problems so we don't have to for ourselves? Our parents, the older generation who is calling us wimps. They even ridicule us for not having playground equipment that they made illegal! They are upset because we grew up in a bubble they put us in.
They say we're wimps because we are bound by laws that THEY made. They call us fat for the foods THEY buy us. They call us lazy for the time THEY let us stay inside. They call us entitled because THEY solve all our problems for us instead of making us do it ourselves. They say we are wimps because we can't handle disappointment THEY keep from us.
They defend themselves by saying "we had experience and you don't". Well how did they get that experience? Where they born with it? No, they went out and did it! They lived their life and now won't let their kids live theirs. They say "the world a lot more dangerous these days". Who made it dangerous? It certainly wasn't toddlers of my generation roaming the streets robbing and killing people. It was adults of the generation before me that made it dangerous.
So I ask you all now... Who's fault is it really that this generation are wimps? Where does the blame fall for us following the guidelines our parents laid for us? To whom does the finger of fault point? My generation (30-1)? or the "good ol timers" (30+), the people raising this wimp generation?
thoughts?

2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoAtheist mental image?
Is it just me, or when someone asks a question concerning religion, whether it be about Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, or even Atheism, all these angry Atheists start booing out of the wood works to start trashing them? When that happens I just see a bunch of Angry people sitting around high-fiving each other after each successive burn like "OH YEAH!!! Good one {insert name}, you totally got that one good! *high-five*". If you think I'm just being a troll or that my statement carries no water, just look at the thumbs up on all the Atheists answers. There's loads of them, while the Christian or other religious answers get booed into oblivion by all the Atheists.
My question is why? Why must you (you as in, you who do that) feed this childish need to yell your obscene, mostly rude and venomous comments and then cover up anything that disagrees with you? Are you that self conscious? Or is it that you were teased too much and now you've finally found an outlet for your bitterness?

I started playing N4S a few days ago and I don't have any friends that play online. I would like to find some friends to play team games with. I like to think I'm at least fairly decent. I tend to do fairly well as both racer and cop. If you're interested let me know please.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agowhy do people whine so much in COD?
Why do people think that if you were still when you killed them that you were camping? Just because you aren't running around like an idiot you're not a camper. Besides, they like to say it's cheating... how? There's absolutely nothing wring with looking through a window or anything for that matter, that the game makers put in the game to be used. It's so aggravating when people b!tc# at you for camping when you were getting kills all around the map the entire game. What do you people think?
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agowhy be a vegetarian, seriously?
I'm being serious. I always made fun of vegetarians for being dumb and easily fooled, but there must be some reason people do it and I want to know more about it.
So here's my situation. I'm a 23yo guy, 6'2", 290lbs ( I know I'm over weight and it's because I eat too much) I'm barely EVER sick. I'm strong, fairly quick for my size and all that. So my question is, why give up meat? I've grown up to be healthy and relatively fit with eating meat just fine, so what's wrong with it?
I'm not trying to be a d!ck, I'm serious. Doesn't meat have bacteria and other enzymes that help build your immune system to fight off infections? Doesn't meat give you good proteins to help build muscles?
I grill most of my meat and try to stay away from fried foods. Is being a vegetarian for health reasons or for feeling better about not killing animals? once again, I'm asking seriously. Almost every vegetarian I know (about 15 or so) is ALWAYS "under the weather" as they say and they work out constantly!! Yeah they're thinner than I am, but what good is it if you're always sick and not near as physically capable of manual labor as I am (and I need to be for work)? How can being a vegetarian be so much better for you when I always feel better than my veg friends and don't go to the doctor near as much for being sick?
If it's really better then yeah, I get it, but it just doesn't seem like it. It looks to me like your punishing yourself for something you're not even doing wrong.
22 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoa question for vegans/vegetarians?
Here's a thought. I have noticed that many vegans/vegetarians are also very environmentally conscious, that being said.Pigs and cows and other "food animals" produce methane and Carbon Dioxide which are green house gasses(cows being the largest methane producers in the world). Plants take those gasses and convert most of them into life giving oxygen.
Are we all agreed so far?
Now if we were to stop eating these atmosphere killing creatures (or even greatly reduce the amount)and start eating more plants (because we have to make up for all that meat we aren't eating), wouldn't that tip the environmental scales in a bad way with an already hurting environment?
just because we stop eating animals doesn't mean that they will stop reproducing. We just won't be eating them to keep their numbers down.
