I have a 3 yr old Miniature Pinscher. 6 weeks ago he went blind when his retinas detached from both eyes, the vet had no real answer for the initial cause as he is/was not showing signs of being diabetic. A week ago he started to eat less and 4 days ago he refused to eat anything and drink very little. Over the weekend he even would refuse treats unless you put it right in his mouth. When we took him to the vet yesterday (Monday) he was dehydrated, weak from no nutrients but no infection could be found, no renal failure, not problems with kidneys or liver. I have noticed that since we got him from a shelter 1.5 years ago that every 4-6weeks he will go through a few days where he eats very little or nothing for a meal or two but then he comes back. We resorted to human food on Sunday night and that was a lesson in patience as he ate some stew meat but refused to eat it out of his bowl but would lick the beef broth up. The vet gave us instructions on getting some nutrients into him via gatorade, high nutrient special food, and the use of a syringe but I feel it is fixing the symptoms not the cause. Any suggestions? Ideas?

I have a four burner propane barbecue about 3 years old. I can only light one burner at a time and it seems to be getting only about 1/3-1/2 the regular flame/heat. I have pullet most of it apart and there seems to be no blockage in the gas line. Any suggestions?

I have a 2 yr old miniature pinscher that we adopted from a shelter. He showed signs of neglect when we got him. Our trouble now is that he barks way too much. We have a pasture behind our home with 2 horses in it and he constantly barks when they are anywhere near our fence. He will also bark at any one who enters the pasture and the dogs that run n the pasture. He seems unwilling to stop barking when we give him the command. Also when he is barking he refuses to come when he is called, any suggestions?

We have a 2 yr old, miniature pinscher adopted from a local no-kill shelter. Per the shelter rep he was with his previous owner for only three months and ran away multiple times - the owner let him out to potty and then left him out there, in a cold climate. He seems to be potty trained but he is still going in the house, we are working on training him. He escaped from the yard his first weekend (6 weeks ago) with us. We both work during the week and have needed to lock hi in the laundry room for about 9 hours a day as he destroyed some blinds and ran amok through the house. He has access to a doggie door that leads to a fenced in basement walk-out (all concrete) when in the laundry room. We are having problems with him that include jumping up on us when we let him out of the room, not minding basic commands that he knows - sit, come, & stay. He also seems quite "needy" when we are around. He is much more needy than our previous min pin that died of cancer 2 months ago. We are loosing our patience with the potty clean-up and the not minding and the neediness. I think the neediness would not be an issue if the potty & minding issues were resolved. What am I doing wrong, what can I do different to have happy humans and a happy dog. He also doesn't seem to want to play often. We walk him nightly when we get home.

I have a roof mounted swamp cooler and the motor seems to be going out. Any help would be aprreciated
