  • Reviewing a book for a blog?

Just curious....If someone wanted to send you a review copy of their book to review for your blog, is there any way to get the copy without giving out your personal address? Maybe I'm just missing something really obvious because other blogs do this all the time right? Thanks!

  • Movies you LOVE that reviewers and other people HATED?

I guess they could be considered guilty pleasures. Movies your ashamed you loved or even just simply liked them?

    Mine are:

    Van Helsing

Twilight (I know it's horrible but I can't stop myself from watching them. I have a problem...)

    Marie Antoinette

    17 Again

    High School Musical

So ya based on this list I have my teeny bopper moments with films but I can't help it. Yours?

  • Question about the Witness Protection Program (for book)?

I was wondering if someone was put in the witness protection program to protect them from someone but that dangerous person died, could they return to their old identity since they aren't in danger anymore? Even if they couldn't change back to their old identity, could they contact their family/ friends from their previous life? Thanks for the help!

  • Ladies! Katy Perry outfit?

So I'm going to the Katy Perry concert and I'm trying to make a really bubbly cute outfit for the show? Any ideas? I'd like to use bright shiny colors and fabrics so I can go with her whole candy theme. I was thinking a shiny corset but I don't know where to find that (maybe at Fredrick's of Hollywood?) so I'm open to anything.

  • What is the Writer's Market?

I've seen it mentioned on here a lot but what is it? I googled it and read that it's the bible for writers on wikipedia and amazon. But what is in it? Articles teaching writers about publishing or writing well? I am a writer but I never thought about publishing (at least not yet, never say never!) so I don't really know about this book. Would it be worth reading even if you weren't planning on being published, as in it helps you with your writing? Thanks :)

  • Carbonated Water healthy?

If the only ingredient in seltzer water is carbonated water is it healthy to drink it a lot? I have another brand of seltzer water that also has aspartame which I know isn't good for you in big doses. I know plain water is ultimately the best choice but sometimes I just need that refreshing fizz if it's hot. I also know that carbonated water can fill you up so you don't drink as much water, but I'm not too worried about that. I'm just wondering is this brand of seltzer that is only made up of carbonated water is safe to drink a lot because it doesn't have bad ingredients like aspartme. Also the seltzer water has no sodium or sugar.

  • There was a mummy in the closet?

And it was an older movie where all these halloween monsters came to life. But it wasn't comical, it was scary. And I think they were after some green orb? Dracula was after it. Anyway one scene I remember is the dad checking the kids closet and telling him there were no monster and then the mummy appears behind him but he just closes the door and doesn't see it. What is this movie?

  • Book for my younger brother's birthday?

He's just gotten into reading after being against it since I can remember so I want to get him a book to encourage his new hobby ;) He loves historical nonfiction novels and his interests are in asian history or assassins and stuff. Two books he recently bought are Three Kingdoms: A Historical novel by Guanzhong Luo and The Templars and Assassins: The Militia of Heaven by James Wasserman if that helps you understand his interests at all. He's going to be 18 and I was wondering if anyone had read any good books that follow his interest. I'm pretty ignorant in this area of literature so anything helps, thanks! :)

  • Is it Illegal to read other people's email?

So my mother was dropping off something at a desk of a coworkers and saw an email with her name titled on it. There has been some office battles going on and she suspected that the coworker and another worker were taking sides against a coworker my mom is friends with. My mother opened the email and read that they were trying to get the coworker fired and a bunch of other stuff about my mom and some other coworkers who were on my mom's side. My mom forwarded the email to herself (not realizing that it will now show what she did in the sent mail) and is now worried if what she did was illegal. It would be great if I could read exactly where it says this on some law website and by the way we live in california. She realized it was wrong and I was surprised she did that but I guess curiosity and all that. She's not too worried since its a 4 hr 4 day a week job she does for fun since the kids are all grown up and dad brings home the real bacon so getting fired wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Is it still illegal even if she didn't hack into the email since it was open? Thanks I would appreciate some clarity on the issue.
