My cat is approximately 14 years old. She has been vomiting two, three times a week for the past month. She lost a lot of weight in a very short time. Whatever food I buy, she eats very little of it and I end up throwing most of it away. Two days ago I took her to the vet to see if she perhaps had teeth and/or gum problems. She has strong, healthy teeth according to the vet. He also sent a blood sample to the lab and that came back clear. He says that if she were to suffer from diabetes, she'd drink loads more than she does now. Long story short: the vet is unable to find anything, but there MUST be something wrong. Is my cat merely a picky eater? The vet did give me two tins of prescription cat food and she seems to enjoy that, although she still only eats very little of the stuff.

She has been known to eat the leaves off plants. There is nothing amiss with her stool, as far as I can tell.

I am a member of a Yahoo! group some of whose members are teenagers who really shouldn't be exposed to such explicit messages. I was wondering how to go about preventing this spam from being posted, and making sure that the "members" who post this garbage go away and *stay* away! Please help.

I am really wondering why this is. I don't remember anything similar to my schooldays. Sure, we had cliques and some people never spoke to other people because they wore certain kinds of clothes or sported piercings in unusual places. But this latest trend among American teenagers seems so.... *violent*! And what really astounds me is the new use of the word "gay", not to denote "happy" as it did between the Wars, or "homosexual" as it did later, but "lame" and "this sucks".

It can't all be about the image and the choice of music, can it? Why not let everyone dress the way they like and listen to whatever music they fancy?

Personally, I have an inkling it's to do with the sexual threat these kids pose to their peers: "Why dress as a sissy?" Hence the new (and hopefully short-lived) meaning of "gay". But I'll let you lot try and answer it, before I end up with an essay.

By the way, I am not an American teenager, so please be gentle. :)

No, I don't mean this sarcastically. I know there's an ongoing sickening trend among illiterate teenaged poseurs to refer to anything they believe is weak, emotional or simply not to their underdeveloped taste as "gay", but I am not such a teenager (or a teenager at all, in fact) and I would like serious answers.
