  • How to stop a destructive dog?

I have a 12 month old lab girl. she is a outside dog as we have a big garden however comes into the house and lies down by the door or walks around the living room if someones there with her. She tears up basically everything we leave outside! We frequently buy her toys because nearly none of them last over 2 days. I recently got her a oversize dog ball toy and she chewed of the felt in less than a night. my mom brought her like a tug toy and in half an hour it was in tiny bits all round the garden. Yesterday we put up a paddling pool, she jumped in it twice eventhough she had her own small pool, she didnt do anything with it at night but in the morning when i was asleep and my mum went shopping she tore it up in less than half an hour and chewed up all the toys that my little sisters had in it.

She is perfects with other dogs and loves running around with them. she never grawls and only barks occasionally. We met cats before and she takes no interest in them what so ever. She never harmed a person since she lost her needle teeth however in winter she used to try to steal hats and gloves (not scarves though). she loves playing with people and dosent care when my 4 year old sisters pull her tail or ears. She dosent even warn them and just lets them carry on with whatever they do to her. She is also very friendly to my 7 month old sister and just lickes her hands.

However she does get super crazy when it rains or she is near water. She loves water and splashing in water or chasing ducks, squirrels etc... She is well trainded and knows some basic tricks like: come, stay, sit, lie down, paw, roll over, jump and right now im teaching her the command "speak". However she dosent take me as her master and respects my dad a lot more than me.

Are there anyways i can stop her from braking everything, apart from that she is perfect. Please dont tell me thing like "take her to obedience classes" or to hit her and please dont judge me about keeping her outside!

  • how to teach a puppy not to take things out of bins?

i have a six month old Labrador. she loves to be outside however when she's in the garden she pulls out things out of a recycling bin and run with it everywhere. after that she just starts running around again and it is nearly impossible to catch her. Does anyone have any simular experiences and could know what should i do to prevent this happening? i tried telling her to stop as she approches the bin and she lisens but after about 15 minutes she's there again and just ignores me. i told her off and blocked her the way to the bin but she somehow always manages to find her own way!!!!!!

  • Can a 4 and a half puppy stay just outside?

Ok, i have a black labrador puppy that is now nearly 5 months old. My dad doesn't want her in the house. She has a lovely dog house outside with a tough roof and 3.5 centimeter wooden walls. The bottom is also thick with a carpet. She has a blanket inside. However she sleeps inside only in colder nights. Other vise she stays on the "outside" sofa, which is under a roof. (with open sides though). She now has a lovely thick black coat and has a bit more weight then she should. Also she eats quite a lot and is full of energy. Please help, i don't want her to freeze. Please no criticizing. My mum already had 3 dogs while she was little and all of them stayed just outside.
