  • What kind of bird is this?

I have a friend from the UK visiting Dallas. She wanted to know what kind of bird this is. I'm no expert but I don't think it's a cardinal. Do you know or can you point me to where I can find out?

What issues are you/ did you deal with as a result of the divorce and/ or remarriage - if applicable. (Example: financial, emotional, relational issues…)Please answer if you're still single or remarried and state which you are.

  • Questions regarding headship and submission. For Christian's only, please.?

This is a series of questions that I'm to ask married Christian couples for my benefit in learning couples Christian counseling techniques. I appreciate your sincerity in answering and I thank you for participating,

    a. What is headship (to you)?

    b. Does headship lead to domination and abuse for women? Why or why not?

    c. What is submission (to you)?

    d. Is submission demeaning to women? Why or why not?

    e. Are headship and submission practiced in your marriage? If so, how?

I know these questions are personal so only answer if you can be serious and honest.

You can use scripture if you want, but don't sermonize please. This is meant to be personal.

Again, I thank you for your honesty. This is a part of a counseling course I'm taking.

  • Looking for a bible reference ...?

Okay, r & s'ers, I've looked in my concordance and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. So, I'm wondering if It's just something I remember hearing growing up or is there a verse?

I thought it was written by Paul ... and it goes something like "working out that which has been worked in" - a reference to our faith. Anyone? anyone?

  • Another question for Christians regarding acceptance in Christ?

What would you say if I told you that we are TOTALLY acceptable to God and don't have to work on bit for it. Why? Because as Christians, once we believe, are saved or born again, we receive His total acceptance because we have Christ in us. I can back this up biblically in so many ways. I'll start with Romans 6:2 - 6. I could go on and on ... Suffice it to say that: Christ gave His life FOR us, so that He could give his life TO us, and thus live His life THROUGH us!

What do YOU think? What's your take on it?

  • Why can't we all just get along?

I'm white. I had a conversation with a black woman recently. She mentioned that they have to have a sort of them (whites?) vs. us (blacks) conversation with their children about how they can/will be negatively treated or misunderstood and/or misrepresented by other races-whites in general. Isn't that sad? If you're African American is this true? I don't think it should ever be 'them' vs. 'us'. I'd like to think we are at least getting past it! What do you think?
