I though of calling it "grocid". Meaning "having the correct structure and syntax but actually meaningless." Mainly because it won't be about big statements, just a curate space featuring works I find interesting.

Hit my head and it left a small scar right under my left eyebrow. It's been almost 2 weeks now, my wound has closed and healed but I can feel this hard bump right under my skin. It's not protruding outside or anything... just a small, pretty painful lump when rubbed, right under the skin. What is it?

Just try and imagine a meaningful design.

I have a shirt with thins vertical stripes and I want to know if I can wear it with a horizontal striped sweater. The colors match and all, I just want to know if the striping does too... :) Are there any rules for wearing striped clothing?

How much space does the mobile Mac OS X occupy? I mean..out of an 8 GB iPod how much storage does the OS and firmware updates take? I'm a little low on cash but I want to buy an iPod and Amazon sells the touch at 280 $ the 8 GB version. I am not a media addict... I mean..I will probably cramp a few hundred songs and maybe 5 movies or 10 TV show episodes. The alternative would be buying a PSP but I think the touch is a better choice. So what do you think... will the storage space be enough...how much space does the 8GB Touch actually have? thank you 4 ur time!

2 questions:

1) If I have a 64 bit processor (sempron 2 Ghz) should I choose the x64 edition of Ubuntu or just stick to 32 bits... what advantages might I have If I choose the 64 bit ed. instead ??

2) How can I make ubuntu look really cool... sleek interfaces, transparency ... you know the works...but I don't want to copy Vista or Mac OS X entirely... just give it a nice feel... tutorials are welcomed

I'm planing on dual booting ubuntu and XP on a desktop. I want to allocate 40 GB for XP... you know for Office work, syncing my iPod and other stuff... and 200 GB for ubuntu and Im planing on transforming the ubuntu partition into a multimedia one... My system has these components: proc. : 2Ghz AMD Sempron, 1GB of Ram. Nvidia GeForce 7200 GS at 512 MB Vram and a 240 GB HDD runing WinXP SP3 (Release Candidate). I'm noobish in linux so I have these questions:

1) what is the best media player for ubuntu... with a sleek interface... also do I have to install codecs or something?

2) Does Ubuntu play 720p HD content? A special player for this ...?

3) Which .torrent client works on Ubuntu? I'm not planing on downloading illegal material of the Internet but I usually download wallpaper packs and e-books off of a tracker... (also recommend an e-book/pdf reader)

4) Is there any way of syncing my iPod Touch in ubuntu? I don't have a jailbreaked iPod touch...

I have a PSP phat system and I'm thinking of upgrading to a new PSP Slim....It's just that I don't feel comfortable spending at least 350 $ (the price is my country is a bit higher) on a new PSP, new card (my old one has 1GB of storage :( ) and a component AV cable.

I don't have WiFi at home so I would probably use the PSP for gaming, video and music as well as a Media Center for my living room (using the AV cable)....

I am thinking of installing a WiFi network in my house so I was wondering how is the internet on a PSP platform...Is it as fast as on the ipod Touch...how is the rendering....I am thinking of browsing web pages on my TV so I really need to know if it's quality browsing or not....

This answer could decide if I'm going to buy a Slim or an Ipod touch......which one is better for internet surfing...actual owners of devices are welcomed to post an opinion..

I have a pretty modest laptop: Toshiba Satellite L30 (celeron M 1,5 GHZ, 1 GB Ram, 60 GB hard drive, ATI Radeon X200M 128 MB-256 capable- shared video card. I meet the minimum requirements as specified by Microsoft (although I have the Vista Capable logo on the laptop not the Premium Ready :( ). I use my laptop for internet surfing, messaging, music and movies and a few projects for school (in Movie Maker, Office) I am not planning on running games on it (maybe Warcraft 3 DOTA). I researched all my hardware and everything is OK (including my video card). I am not planning on having Aero running all the time. I could have installed Vista Basic but I have an Ultimate free DVD (and I can get a Home Premium one as well).My big concearn is my processor.

Will my computer be able to run Vista at a moderate pace...Is the Celeron M (Yonah core, 1,46 GHZ, 1024 K L2 cache) up to the task. I want to test Vista for myself (I don't have the curage to install it on my main computer) thnx in advance!

I have a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-841S on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. Each time I try to read a CD that has been burned using this drive it gives me either an error ( cannot read the disk) or recognizes the data wrong (I put some word documents and pdf on it and it said that there was an audio track on the CD....wtf????). I can read DVDs no problem, I can write DVD's, I can even write CDs with it (I tested it...it works), I can read CDs that were written with another drive (at least so I tested) or original Audio-CDs but I cannot read my own burnt CDs...I have the latest drivers from Toshiba...windows said it works well...I'm confused...is it a windows problem or is it the drive...??thnx I will choose best answer if you help me...

which one should I choose between nokia e50 and nokia 6300. and don't try to explain to me their specs because i know a lot about them...it is futile. In stead try and convince me why should I choose a stylish phone such as the 6300 with a 2 mpx crap camera in stead of a not - so - bad - looking e50 with a crap 1.3 mpx camera but with symbian. alternatives in this price range, only nokia plz

I want to buy a Nokia 6300 nut I have a question related to the video playback. What video file types does the Finn support. And if I want to convert a video for it, if I choose the stereo sound option in the converter, will the phone support stereo, or does it have only a mono speaker? Will it work on my earphones? Oooh..and I have tho option to convert it using either an mpeg4 codec or the xvid one wich should I use? oh and one last thing what sample audio channel frequency should I use ?

In my country [N.B. Romania], a PSP is about 270 USD, the so-called value pack which contains a demo UMD, a 32 MB Memory Stick, manuals, a charger etc... However I found a base pack of the PSP (220 USD). Is it the same with the so-called CORE PACK. what does the box contain?When I asked the retail store guy what's the difference between the Base Pack and the Value one he said that the Base pack doesn't have the WiFi circuit, it does not support WLAN connections..I find that hard to believe....plz help if you know the difference (THE REAL DIFFERENCE!!)..thx a lot...

It's about the Nokia N70's web browser: Does it support the minimap feature present in the N80? If not thna maybe the Music Edition, I know it has an upgrade on the software platform!!

And second, can I upgrade the Symbian 8 in a Nokia N70 to a Symbian 9 at a service center?
