  • Is there a way to lock my computer clock?

The clock on my computer is ten minutes fast. I set it to the correct time, but it automatically resets itself fast periodically. Is there a way to keep it from resetting after I set the correct time?

  • Can a "bad" DVD break a DVD player?

I got a movie from an online rental company, and when I tried to play it I got a "no disk" error message. I tried this on two separate players. Afterwards, when I tried to play other DVDs on these machines, including one that had worked the day before, the same error popped up. The rented DVD showed no obvious damage, i.e. scratches, chips, etc., but it will not play and now seems to have damaged my players. Has anyone else ever encountered anything similar? Is there anything I can do to fix my players? One is built-on to the TV, so I can't just replace it. Any ideas?

  • Can I fix a leaky faucet?

I have no experience with plumbing, but I am quite broke and can't afford to pay a professional. The leak is getting worse and I'm losing a lot of water. Is this something I can tackle myself with help from a hardware store and DIY sites, or do I really need a plumber?
