  • Looking to buy a 1980 30' Cruisemaster RV, what are the basic I should check for?

We are thinking about getting an RV, and this is the first time we have ever looked. We don't want anything fancy. We looked at a 1980 Cruisemaster 30 foot motorhome. The guy went over pretty much everything with us. It is missing the couch and tables but we could build something in it's place. It has 67k original miles. It has always been shed kept when not in use with one owner. Is there any particular things I should be checking for and looking at? Thanks for any advice.

  • Looking for a wiring diagram for 2001 Ford Windstar radio harness that controls rear video entertainment system.?

I was wondering if anyone can guide me in the direction of a wiring harness or even cutting the wires and splicing...

I am looking to buy an after market radio to install, the original factory display doesn't light up anymore. Mine has 2 connections...the main harness for power, speakers, etc. There is a smaller harness for the VCR audio and aux inputs for the rear entertainment system. I'm afraid if I buy a new head unit that is not a stock Ford part that I will lose the function of the video system.

Just wondering if anyone else has had any luck with this, if I had to I would even cut the wires from the harness and splice into the new unit for keep the system functional.

Thanks for any help and advice.

  • When do I claim mileage for being self-employed?

I am self employed. I was wondering if I claim the miles for the entire year when I file taxes, or if I include that mileage rate as an expense in my quarterly estimated taxes for the current year. Thanks for any advice.

  • Anything special I should know about a Hemi engine?

I'm thinking about possibly trading my truck in for another model. The truck I'm looking at has a V8 5.7 Hemi engine in it. I have never had any vehicle with a hemi, and I don't know anyone who has either. I was just wondering if there are any major differences between a regular engine and a hemi engine and anything I need to be aware of. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Where can I find engine size in 1996 Ford Econoline Passenger Van?

I want to change oil in my van, I just bought it used a few months ago. Owner's Manual lists 4 different engine sizes for it. I can not find anything under the hood or any paper ID that lists the engine size for it. Just wondering if anyone else has any ideas. It's a van with a short hood and the engine can not be seen from under the hood. Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Top of wooden garage door hits header frame when being closed with a garage door opener.?

I just installed a garage door opener on my 9x7 wooden garage door. When the door is being closed with the opener, the force from it pushing the door is making the very top of the door get stuck on the header. It closes fine if closing it manually. The bottom section of the header beam sticks out by about a 1/2 inch, which is where the door is getting bound up on. Is there anything I could put above the header beam as a guide the would allow the door to slip right past it, or maybe something I can fasten to the top of the door as a guide?

When it gets bound up, if I pull back on the arm of the opener, the top of the door breaks free and closes the whole way

  • How do I transfer game data between 2 XBOX 360 Consoles?

We have 2 Xbox 360 Consoles, both with the 250GB hard drive. Our son goes back and forth between them with the same games depending on where he feels like playing. Is there a way to transfer the game data from 1 console to the other so he can play where he left off? I tried following the directions for data transfer on Microsoft's site for Xbox, and it says it copies them to the Xbox flash drive, and then it says ion the other console it successfully copies from the flash drive to the hard drive. But when he tries to play the games between consoles, it acts like it has no game data saved at all and just starts a new game instead. I'm just curious if this can be done. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Upright freezer not freezing - blowing warm air?

I have a Kenmore upright freezer. Just recently it started blowing out warm air and we caught it before all the food was thawed. We let it unplugged overnight and started it again the next morning. In the afternoon it was still blowing warm air. The compressor is running. The one side of the coil that goes into the compressor is hot, the compressor itself is hot, and the other side of the coil is room temperature. All of the coils are sealed inside of the interior of the freezer so there is nothing I can clean. Just wondering if anyone might have any suggestions. It is a frost free freezer and we never had any ice issues at all. It does have a timer by the compressor and the dial on it does turn automatically. I'm just not sure if the freezer is toast or not. I don't want to throw a lot of money into it, even though it is fairly new and I did not buy any kind of extended warranty. Thanks for any advice.

  • Lennox HS20-261-2P Central Air Condenser not turning on from thermostat?

We have a Lennox HS20-261-2P central air unit. It ran fine early last summer. It then got to the point where the blower motor for the furnace would come on when the thermostat called for the air to kick on, but the condenser fan would start and stop and there would be a lot of clicking from the inside of the central air unit. I took the electrical panel off and the contacts of the contactor were going in and out and the fan would start and stop, then it eventually just stopped. I do have it running right now...but only because I took the 220 volt connections and put them on the other side of the contactor. It still runs fine, but the only thing is we have to turn on and off the AC with the breaker for it in the electrical panel right now. I was just wondering...does this sound like a possible bad contactor? We have been using it with the breaker late last summer and all this year so far and it still runs fine like that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • buy a cheap car or pay off a loan?

I'm having trouble deciding something. I have a personal loan for about $3200 balance left on it. I have a truck that gets 13 mpg on the highway and I use about $300 a month in gas. I have some cash in my savings and I am having trouble deciding whether to pay off my loan which would free up $200 a month, or buy a 2nd cheap car that may get about 25 mpg on the highway or something like that to maybe take the gas fee down to about$150. Just looking for some other opinions. Thanks to all who respond.

  • Chirping sound coming from front end of atv?

I have a 1999 Yamaha Kodiak 4x4. When I accelerate I notice a loud chirping / squeaking sound coming from somewhere in the front end. I took both wheels off and cleaned out the grass and such inside the brakes, lubricated the driveshaft for the front wheels. I've also tried spraying some lubricant on the rotors and breaks to see if that helps and nothing works. When I apply the brakes the noise does not go away. When I slow down the noise slows down, when I speed up the noise speeds up. And I noticed it makes the chirp noise about 4 times for every time the tire makes one complete rotation. I just bought this used not too long ago and it's the first atv I've ever owned so I'm not really knowledgeable on this. I have also had the front end jacked up and the wheels do not wobble at all. I've also tried jacking the entire atv up front and back at the same time and have all 4 wheels turning off the ground and it does not chirp then. If I go a steady speed and accelerate quickly the noise goes away until there is more pressure on the front end. Does anyone know what I might be able to try to make this go away. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • How comes housing is so expensive but jobs don't pay crap?

I just have two simple questions. First, if the American housing market is in so much trouble, how comes houses around where I live are an average price of $150,000? Second, jobs around the same area suck for pay. You're lucky if you can find a job that pays over $9 per hour. How can the housing market and the job market possibly work together here where I live? I just can't understand!

  • 92 Oldsmobile Regency 98 Engine Sputtering / Running Rough?

I have a 92 Olds Regency 98 that I bought used with about 145000 miles on it. It ran since I bought it until yesterday. I put about 6000 miles on it since I got it. It was going down the highway and I heard 2 popping sounds (not sure where they come from). It ran fine the rest of the way home. The next day I went to start it and it was running really rough. When I put it in drive and hold on the brake it jerks and bounces. It will speed up and slow down really fast at idle. When I take it down the highway it seems to be okay until about 40 mph or so and then it really starts jerking and bouncing. When I let off the gas it dies down really fast and runs even rougher but does not stall. The plugs and wires / air filter are all good. I just changed oil in it about 500 miles ago. When I push the throttle cable under the hood while it is in "park", there is a popping noise that comes from the engine around the air filter intake...not sure if this is related or not. I don't want to put a lot of money into it, but at the same time I would like to know what might be wrong with it. Any ideas?

It doesn't use any kind of fluid at all. Doesn't leak oil or use antifreeze. It used to leak a little tranny fluid from the cooling lines when I first bought it from sitting so long in the car lot (a year and a half it sat there I was told by the dealer)...it since fixed itself and does not use any tranny fluid anymore either. Thanks for any ideas you may have.

  • 1990 Chevy K1500 Loud Knocking Noise Coming From Engine?

I have a 1990 Chevy K1500 Silverado. It has 241,000 miles on it, and I am the 2nd owner. The engine is original and has never been rebuilt or overhauled. The only thing I have replaced on it since I bought it was the water pump, and it has had all the normal maintenance. About 2 weeks ago it started making a loud knocking noise coming from the engine from the time you start it in idle, run it, and till the time you shut it off. The faster the engine goes the faster and louder the noise gets. I have to add about 1 quart of oil every 200-300 miles since about 237,000 miles. I was wondering if anyone knew what the noise might be and how serious it is, and if it would be worth putting money into or just go ahead and get a new used vehicle. The truck is in overall fair shape with some rust around the rear wheel wells. Also, about a week after the knocking started, it goes to spit and sputter and sometimes backfire when it is first going on the interstate, but seems to run fine after the first 10 minutes or so. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

  • Should I call or write to my bank if I can't afford my house anymore?

I have a house payment back in PA that I owned since 2004. My house payments are $600 a month for it. We have since moved to SD but I keep on making payments on the house in PA to avoid bad credit. We moved in early July of 2008 and it is now to the point where I have no choice but to notify the bank I can't afoord it anymore. I got let go of my full time job and now I work another full time job for a few dollars an hour less. I've been doing all I can since August in terms of making the payments...I've sold practically everything I own. I sleep on the floor on blankets, I have no TV, stereo, etc. I kept one dresser and some clothes and an old computer I had for a while. I tried selling some more stuff on Ebay, but that turned out to be a huge joke since no one buys anything. I can't afford my truck anymore so I'm trying to sell it too, let alone afford car insurance.

My main question is, do I call the bank and tell them about this, or do I write them a detailed letter letting them know about this? I've had my house on the market since late June, but still no luck. As I said earlier, I was waiting until the last resort to do this, but I have a fiance and a 14 month old son I need to think about too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Buy a motorcycle to save money on gas?

I was wondering who all out there thinks it may be a good idea to buy a cheap motorcycle to save gas money in the long run. I'm thinking about buying a used bike, no more than $4000. I know it will be a large cost up front, but I think over a period of a few years it will eventually pay for itself with the price of gas these days. I know how to ride, I sold the bike I had a few years ago to help put a roof on my house. What is your opinion? Thanks in advance for all your answers.

  • Is it ok for a guy to use sex toys if ...?

I was wondering if it is ok for a guy to use sex toys if he never has sex with his girlfriend anymore. My gf keeps saying she is too tired, or not in the mood, etc. I found out she uses sex toys when I'm not home, but she won't admit it to me. We've had sex 3 times within the past year, and I can't keep going without. To me sex is very important in a relationship, but I'm not getting that part. I love her so much, and leaving is not an option. Would a sex toy be ok to use in this kind of a situation. And if so, what would be the best thing to get? I'd want something that feels life like if that is possible. And I'm not addicted to sex either, I just think it's important in a relationship.
