I posted a phone of mine with its accessories on to Craigslist yesterday. I received a text message in reply to it.

The person said: "(1/2)Motorola Droid Bionic - $200 (Mesa) is your item still available for sale and what is the actual condition and how long have you been"

(2/2)using it?

I said: "It still works fine. It has the minor wear marks as you can see in the pictures. I've always had a case on it. No cracks or anything. I bought it new almost 2 years ago"

They said: "Okay i will be offering you 300 for it including shipping fee"

I said: "Cash only"

"why would you offer me $100 more than what I'm asking?"

They said: "(1/2)here is the shipping address Name: Christian Levre Address: N0 4, Mustapha Kosoko Street City: Surulere State: Lagos Country: Nigeria"

"(2/2)Zip-code: 23401 do you have a paypal account?"

I said: "So you want to pay me $100 extra to ship it to nigeria?"

They said: "i will pay you through paypal"

I said: "I will get back to you"

"I do have a paypal account. Although I've never used it for something like this"

they said: "alright get back to me with your name and your paypal e mail address so i can proceed with the payment now"

I said: "How do I know this isn't a scam"

"There are lots of nigerian scams out there right now."

They said: "i will make the payment before you ship it out"

I said: "And you are going to ask for the shipping id before you can clear the funds right?"

"Is there any way you can send cash"

They said: "i will make the payment through paypal"

I said: "You didn't answer my questions"

So.. to summarize.. they avoid questions when i ask them to explain.. They are offering me an extra $100 to ship it to NIGERIA via paypal.

I read online a little about Nigerian scams and I just want to be sure.

Suggestions??

Men always surprise women with flowers at work. I want to surprise my husband with something that he will really like. He isn't big on candy. He's kind of a health nut. Any clever ideas other than just your average gift? I will be getting him a separate gift, but I want a separate one to surprise him with at work or home.

I am looking to get an engraver to use on craft like object like for labeling metal type materials and things like that. Although, I am not looking to spend a whole lot. Does anyone know of a good one from experience that isn't too expensive, yet efficient?

I've worked for this company for 2 yrs.. they are basically like family and im really sad and nervous to put in my 2weeks... but i put together an e-mail that i was going to send to them. How does this sound? The office i work in is really laid back and not super uptight or anything.. we're like family. So, here it is:

"Hey you guys! I wanted to be sure to let you guys all know at the same time on here since it’s kind of hard to catch you all in the office at once. I just wanted to let you know that I got offered another job. I was going to go ahead and take it, but I wasn’t sure how long you would need me here until I can start over at the new job. It’s been a hard decision because I have loved working for you guys the past couple years, but I was hoping to find something that would help us save up for a house quicker and I did. I am open to help train someone to fill the position if you need me to. Let me know what the next step would need to be. I’m not in a huge rush or anything, so a 2 weeks notice (or if you need more) is fine. I appreciate everything you guys have done for me since I’ve worked here! I’ve appreciated it more than you know!"

Suggestions? Changes?

I have a problem getting hooked into books. I've tried twilight and the hunger games which failed within the first few pages. I have read a small handful of books that I did like. For example: "A child called it" --which was super sad by the way, but I really liked it. Anyways, anyone have suggestions for me to check out?

I don't want to spend the money to get a mp3 hookup in my car and so I'm resorting to an FM transmitter. I don't want to get one that has bad sound quality and definitely don't want to spend too much. Suggestions?

I'm pretty tall for a girl.. and I don't know if I really want 5'' heels. I don't want to be a giant.. or have super sore feet. I've thought about getting some colored converse, vans, or toms shoes but they can be $50+ and I don't know if I want to spend that much. I've even thought about getting some cowgirl boots.. if i can find some at a decent price. I might be ok with some mid-sized heels but I can't seem to find any that I like or within price range. Any ideas of where to find something like this? My colors are turquoise and cream.
