I'm the CA ( Community Assistant) of the dorm I live in. I'm responsible for the residents on the floor and I realized that they're extremely quiet and somewhat reserved. I'm trying to get them to know each other and interact more.

What activities do you think will be helpful beside going to the movies and playing sports?. Money and space are not an issue. I'd appreciate any suggestions & thank you in advance.

So I recently bought an Insignia HDTV and I connected it to a basic cox cable using a coaxial cable

I'm basically illiterate when it comes to TVs, this is my first TV :)

The cable channels are clear and work fine but the free channels like CBS, NBC, and ABC are blurry . I read that i need an HD box or something like that

Can someone please guide me ?! if I need an HD box where do I get it from? (Best Buy maybe?) a pic would be nice I have no I idea what it looks like ( just came back from the jungle :)

I have to take a second language because I'm doing a B.A.

When I was ten years old, the police knocked on our door at 3:00 in the morning. They sounded like thunder and moved like lightening around the house and in a flash they were gone with my father chained. The arrest took less than three minutes, but the melodramatic event kept recreating itself in my mind for years and years following its occurrence, I saw it every time I closed my eyelids. The loud knocks on the wooden door, the questions my mother shouted, the screams that escaped my sister's throat, the fear in my brother's eyes and the puzzlement in mine.

I do not remember clearly my father's release or how we fled the country, partly because it happened at a rush with no explanation and partly because I tried to erase it from my memory. Somehow years passed by and I ended up in the United States, instead of 2000 it is 2005, the time in between was so temporary I do not quite clearly remember it's details.

Being the naïve person I am, I assumed that I have successfully overcome all the obstacles that plastered my path only to come to the realization that the hard part is yet to come. So far, my parents have fought all my battles, and it was time for me to take responsibility. My determination was stronger than the impediments that faced me, the first being the language barrier that I overcame by studying an average of 4-6 hours daily to catch up with my classmates who spoke English all their lives.

Second, the fact that I'm a Muslim laid another barrier on my way. I was constantly at a position where I have to defend my faith or accept the claim that Islam teaches terrorism and therefore all Muslims are terrorists. Furthermore, to make matters more complicated, I'm a Northern Sudanese which is the dominant race in Sudan that is responsible for the genocide of forty thousands in Darfur and two millions in the South. Both unique features qualify me as an international suspect for crimes committed by entities unrelated to me.

Regardless of the Sudanese government accusing my father of being a spy, Sudan was my safe zone, and as Alan Alda once said "You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself." Except that I had to go into the wilderness of another nation to discover my strengths and realize my weaknesses. Defending Northern Sudanese citizens (not government), Islam, and I against constant accusations led to my high tolerance of others. Now, the world does not seem too flowery to me and I regard the world with much distrust, but I believe I have the power to change many of its realities.

So lately I noticed that I try to keep myself busy; I barely sleep or actually I can't sleep and my dreams are beyond odd plus childhood memories are waking me up in the middle of the night screaming

I had a troubled childhood and a phobia of knives because of a traumatic event that involved a knife when I was 13

I want to seek professional help baaaaaadly but I'll apply to law school next year and I'm planning to become a lawyer, I heard that this will damage my reputation as a lawyer later on or affect it in some way

is that true ?! & should I see a psychologist or a psychiatrist?!

so, the other day i restored my iPod to a factory setting but now i want my old songs back

is that possible? if so, can i restore it to that setting? because under the summary tab it only gives me the option of restoring to factory setting

I used a picture as my display picture for a while then i moved it to a different album on Facebook now that I wanna use it as a display picture its not letting me

when i click on "Make it my display picture" a crop tool appears on the photo and when i crop it it moves it but without all the previous comment, like if its a new picture

how can i move it with all the comment without cropping it to the display pictures album ?

The old way was this... Go to Settings > Privacy Settings > Profile and next to "Friends" set the privacy setting to "Only Friends".

but now there isn't this option anymore, and every1 can c my friends, i don't want that cuz my unwise friends add my sober friends n it gets complicated n they all become crazy :)

I was just using my computer (windows xp) this morning n it worked just fine. but now wen i turn it on only the pc works; the monitor remains black even though the light by the side indicate that the power is reaching it

now I can access any of my work that I have saved, any idea on how to fix it?

Also, I have a laptop (windows vista) is there any way that I can access my folders by connecting it 2 my pc? if so, how?

Hi every1

My mom is Muslim n we have our holiday after 14 days or so n my mom of course doesn't want 2 go 2 work that day but her boss is refusing 2 give her the day off

He told her she has 2 find someone 2 work her shift but she wasn't successful on finding 1 n now she has 2 go 2 work that day

I'm just wondering if he can really do that, Christians get 3 damn weeks n she can't get a day wat the hell is wrong with this system?
