  • Wrong RAM speed, the physical damage that can be done?

I help out at my local computer refurbishing site for schools and we get lots of old Compaq Armadas and Dell latitudes that we can't donate so we get to experiment and have fun with them. Me being young, I get a lot of experience from going there but sometimes the seniors don't have an answer to everything. I'm aware that putting in a faster or slower speed of ram can damage either the motherboard or the processor because it can't keep up with the data that is coming from the ram, but what is the physical damage done that makes your computer fail? It would be really nice to know.

  • Opinions on Skyward Sword?

I would like to hear your opinions on what you think about The legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. Personally I thought it was a great game with a great story and it definitely felt like a Zelda game. Although I have mixed feelings on what they did with the controls (self explanatory) and the over-world(how you are confined to small areas, exploration is limited). So just give me your thoughts on what you think :)

  • Windows shortcut help?

So as curiously stupid as I am, I decided to open up a shortcut file with notepad just to see what it looked like. The problem is I forgot to uncheck the "always use the selected program to open this type of file" and now all of my shortcuts (and I have sooooooooooo many) open via notepad. Is there an easy way to change it back? If you can help that would be awesome!

  • Visual boy advance help?

The visual boy advance gba emulator is an amazing thing and works almost flawlessly... Although there is one major issue I have, I cannot use more than 2 buttons at once. It doesnt seem that bad but it effects some games and makes them impossible to play. I noticed this when i was trying to do a running jump in DKC3 but couldnt. I looked everywhere in the options but I cant seem to find any type of restriction. Please help?

  • SCSI server help (partitions)?

I recently got this IBM Eserver for free from a computer donating agency, they didn't want it because it used SCSI hard drives. It came with 3 SCSI hard drives (two 9.1gb and one 18.1gb). I have no intentions on using this as a server but I wanted to turn it into a computer for my own use. So I ran Puppy Linux on it so i could re-partition the hard drives, but none of them showed up, I also used Hiren and booted mini XP but I got the same results. I am not too familiar with SCSI but I heard they needed terminators in some cases. I have a terminator that i ripped off of an old Quantum tape server, but I have no idea where I would put it on the new server (it's a 2007 model BTW). If anyone can help me on this subject I would be very grateful.
